  1. My main team... drafted Gurley 2nd round, Hunt 3rd round. Could not bring myself to get rid of Hunt. HUGE points in quarterfinals.

    You mad bro?

Kidding! I drafted Jordy in the first round. Where's that gotten me lately?

Dude, fantasy football is made up so much of luck, skill, luck, and just plain gut instincts.

  2. Being an UGA fan, I knew Gurley was something special, and that's not me just being a homer. He was just naturally better than everyone around him... one of those that you can't wait to see what he does the next time he touches the ball.

I still don't know exactly what happened with the Rams last year, but, Sean Mcvay appears to have changed the culture in LA in a very short amount of time. The Rams and Gurley are killing it!

  3. Def and Special Teams scoring allowed

Atl Def at home against San Fran and Kaep

    or

Buf Def at home against Cleveland and RGIII

My season long defense is pretty bad so I'm going to pony up the extra $$ for a waiver for either Atl or Buf def

My first thought is to take Buffalo but Atl plays a pretty bad team as well and scored 2 def/st TDs last week.

  4. Standard scoring

    Walker vs Broncos

    or

    Brate vs Saints

I have Brate in the lineup right now as I think this should be one of the higher scoring games and Denver has been stingy vs opposing TEs the last five weeks.

Oh, and by the way, congrats on making your playoffs! I don't think you'd be here if you hadn't!

  5. Either that or you can go back to the old days when everything was done by hand.

    Scoring by newspaper.

    Weekly newsletters.

Trades announced by individual phone calls.

    Joy!

Oh wow, I remember the days when ALL league teams would call me on Sunday mornings with their lineups and usually shoot the bull. It would take like 2-3 ours to get all lineups collected!

  6. I'm having some trouble building my lineups as well... only two games really limits your options. I do, however, want to get Herron in the lineup. Affordable at $7000 and 18 catches the last two weeks. Even if Colts playing from behind, Luck might be checking down to Herron more than he'd like to have to.

  7. I have the EXACT same decision I've been struggling with since I heard Julio is definately out today. Pains me to place my league championship hopes in the hands of Sanchez but that's what I'm doing. On a hunch. I love the matchup for Matty Ice but without Julio, Steelers can pay more attention to Roddy and Harry Douglas. Sanchez has all of his weapons and he's playing in Primetime SNF.

  8. I would stab myself in the face if my rbs were sjax and jennings.

It's a new fantasy RB landscape these days... it will turn around eventually, but, the "everydown" back if very limited to a few players. If you drafted Megatron, Marshall, Cobb, and say Pierre Garcon or Keenan Allen as a fourth WR, having SJax and another RB would look pretty good!

  9. Totally agree with giraldi02... there's a ton of fun to be had and it is a great complement to the standard fantasy leagues. There are some real sharks in FanDuel though, as well as the other popular daily sites, and I don't say that to discourage anyone from playing, but, just from experience, there are guys out there that REALLY know their stuff (Condia mentioned above).

I also recommend the 50\50 leagues as they offer probably your best odds, but, you still better do your homework. After that, the smaller 3 or 5 team contests probably offer the better odds.

The daily/weekly leagues are an awesome addition to the Fantasy Football experience but it's a whole new ballgame from the traditional annual draft leagues where you follow and manage a select group of players throughout the year. I highly recommend trying it out, but, just be wary and test the waters before diving right in.
