  1. I officially know nothing about Alvin pearman other than he's #3 on a depth chart that has a LOOOOOONNNNG history of injuries. Based on all accounts, he seems like the right pick in the middle 3rd round. Probably will amount to sucktastic, but I have RB depth to afford to draft a project.

    Please work, project...PLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEE!!!!!

Fairly pleased with my draft thus far! Holt in the trade, Brown, Campbell (needed another QB to develop), and now Pearman. This has gone well for me, I do believe!

  2. WOW.

Can't believe Scoob did that deal.

A so-so fantasy QB and an overrated receiver with a 2nd year QB

    for Terrell Owens!!

    Great deal for Burt!!

    Agreed.

Not good value for Owens at all, IMO.

So, in the last week, Scooby has replaced Owens and Holt, two of the best three fantasy WRs, with Brandon Bennett and Plaxico. WOW. :bandana:

Uh, dude...it's DREW Bennett. Brandon Bennett is that other guy...

And why TF haven't you picked, yet???

  3. Azz Kickin Mules gave up:

    Holt, Torry STL WR

    Year 2005 Draft Pick 2.06

    Illegal Touching gave up:

    Bennett, Drew TEN WR

    Year 2005 Draft Pick 1.05

I'd rather have Holt. Nice trade Ryan. :pointstosky:

Slowly but surely you are amking up for the Gonzo trade.

I felt the same. Initially Scoob offered Owens, but between the fact that Scoob got Owens from me in the first place, and the fact that i have a hard time having guys on my roster that irritate the fock out of me, when Holt was dangled I went that way instead. Holt is--what?--like a year or two younger, and I just like him so much more. Of course, that means Ownes will make up with D-Mc and will catch 25 TDs this year or something silly...

  4. Just a heads-up that I will be traveling on Tuesday to St Louis. I doubt it will be too big of an issue, because I don't pick now until round 2, but I just remember the first year when we drafted and y'all thought I had quit--well, I didn't quit. I'm right here!!! I will also be on site working this week, so best to email me at rmelton@impac.com when my pick is up if I'm a bit slow!

Thanks, dudes. Looking forward to another solid .500 year!

  5. :o

Stoopid league allowed me to pull the Bears out of my starting lineup--which i didn't want to do!!!

I went to the site to get Ahman out of my lineup, but it required me to submit an entire lineup. In so doing, it told me I HAD to select a D, even tho I had selected the BEars and they had already played. It said the Bears were a locked non-starter, which is total BS, because anyone who went to the board knows I had the Bears as a starter prior to Thursday. Now I am out 10 points in my game!!!!

I'll probably end up losing anyway, but this shiznit needs rectifying PRONTO!!!!!!

  6. Ricky Williams for Tiki Barber, Andre Johnson, and Roy Williams turned out to be a pretty good deal for me.

Actually, I feel bad for Scooby. No one can predict that stuff. That's usually something that would have happened to me. :o

Now all I need is for the Dolphins to go out and trade for one of Minnesota's back so that Bennett will be the main man and I'll be good to go.

You gotta figure the DOlphins would have liked to have known BEFORE EG signed with the Cowboys. They probably would have liked a back like George while they figure out a long-term solution. This really is unbelieveable!!!

  7. Nice pick at 4.10 with Feeley Ryan. Hell, he's slated to start right?

Also the draft is over!

    Thanks, dude! :pointstosky:

You know, I kept looking everything over, checking it out. I know Fiedler is still in the mix, but I figured this guy would probably get some PT. I have two great QBs and a third I'm probably going to release, so I couldn't have asked for much better at 4.10

  8. <_<

I had to make the Ron Dayne pick here. I had to have Tiki's backup in case he gets injured this year. Not a sexy pick, but a necessary one. I was a little concerned that someone else might try to take him before I could get him. I wasn't worried about the 1st 2 rounds, but I think someone might have snagged him in the latter two because there are no RBs available.

You know, maybe I'm wrong, b/c who knows with Coughlin, but having owned Dayne in this league, I doubt anyone would have snagged him from you...

    :wall:

  9. The only thing is...one man's trash...

I like the idea of picking up someone's spare in the fourth round b/c he's been abandoned. I picked up Drew Bennett that way last year. I realize Bennett basically sucks, injury notwithstanding, but in the 3rd round, he proved to be a fairly decent pick! Especially with my underachieving receiver corps.

  10. Jwood:

Defense - I usually don't give a rat's ass about defense, but they can help you sneak in a win every now and then.  I don't like either of these defenses.  KC's was horrible last year and San Diego's isn't much better.  I would definitely look to improve here, if I could.

First, I am waaayyyyyy-late in reading anything on the board. Just found out today we're drafting in two weeks, or whenever it is.

That said, I felt the need to respond only to this assessment by explaining to Jwood that he needs to pay more attention to how we score in this league. Of course KC's defense sucks. But sense the D only gets decent points from a shutout or scoring, AND since KC ST had the ultimate X-factor Dante Hall, it bears noting that the KC D actually won me some games early last season!!!!
