Didn't he whinge about Young's left handed spirals being hard to catch?

With the exception of last season the Eagles have always been pretty good in the RZ duing Reid's tenure. They have never scored in the RZ by having a tall target or playing smash mouth football though. Of course 22 receptions isn't good enough from Smith but he was banged up all season. I'm sure a healthy Smith will catch in the 50-60 region like he did the previous 2 years.

Jim Johnson has all ready said Mikell is his starter at SS. I think the 2 biggest areas of need are defensive turnovers and production from the TE position. IMO a healthy LJ Smith makes a big difference to the O. On D I think Samuel, Bradley and Clemons/Abriamiri are going to determine whether this D can setup from being good last season to being very good this season.

Philly played the toughest schedule in the league last year and the Cards played one of the easiest. They both finished 8-8 yet the Cards are a better team

Funny how Steve Spagnuolo used the same scheme to help the Giants D dominate the best offense ever in the Super Bowl

Exactly, you only have to finish 2nd in your division to be a wild card and play all your playoff games on the road. If 2 great teams were in the same division a team could easily finish with 15, 14 13 wins and finish 2nd in their division but still go 8-0 on the road.

I agree, that article is complete BS. Bunkley a bust? Moats might have been a wasted pick but I think he might still do ok in this league once he gets a decent opportunity. Hard to do much stuck behind one of the best backs in the league. How about Trent Cole? 5th round pick who is one of the better DE's in the league now. They've drafted plenty of good players since Heckett has been around, and as you said AR is still really calling the shots.

That is what stood out to me as well. He should be much higher, AJ was a clear 2nd in points per game in all of my leagues. I would put him up there with Owens and Wayne, with Schuab in his second year in the system I think AJ's value only goes up.

Westbrook was right behind LT in all of my leagues.

I think you can halve those nunbers, that would put them both in their 40's

How would you rank rookie RBs with past top dogs?

Way to completely miss the point of the post 1. Bush 2. McFadden 3. LT 4. Peterson 5. Brown Sounds about right to me, could maybe switch LT and ADP. I don't remember there being heaps of hype about LT being a can't miss type prospect. -
LOL I like how you know for a fact they wouldn't have made the SB. Again that in no way proves that they weren't a good team. Just because they didn't play them doesn't mean they wouldn't have beaten them. I mean those other 3 division winners were such great teams they couldn't even make it to the NFC Championship game. The Seahawks obviously beat a team which had knocked off 1 or 2 of those division winners. I'm no Seahawks fan but your arguments are presumptive and don't prove anything. That you don't think the Hawks are a good team is fine but you're clutching at straws trying to back it up.
-
That is such a load of BS. SOS in no way whatsoever is a judge of which team is better. You can only play who is on your schedule, who's to say the Seahawks wouldn't have the same record if they had played the Giants Schedule? I don't think many people would think the Giants are better than the Hawks. Persoanally I don't think the Hawks are on the same level as DAL and GB but playing in a weak division and having a low SOS in no way proves that. Also saying that they couldn't beat an 8-8 wildcard team in the Super Bowl is such a weak argument, that same 8-8 team had all ready knocked off supposedly the two best teams in the league on route to the SB.

It's not an INT, never has been never will be. It just goes down as a failed PAT

Doesn't come as huge surprise to me, Trotter was ordinary last season. With his bad knees his mobility is no where near what it used to be, he was a huge liability in pass coverage and was a step slow in the run D. Teams had a lot of success running to the outside last season in large part because Trott couldn't move well enough to get out there in time. He used to be a great player but is merely average now. Obviously the Eagles think Gaither is a better option at this point in time. Reid has a good track record of letting aging players go at the right time, off the top of my head Hugh Douglas, Troy Vincent, Bobby Taylor and Duce Staley all did nothing after leaving the Eagles despite a fan backlash at the time.

Exactly, every team plays 4 1st placed, 4 2nd placed, 4 3rd placed and 4 4th place teams from the year before.

Seems like it's a done deal according to NFL.com The Buffalo Bills traded former Pro Bowl linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb to the Philadelphia Eagles for defensive tackle Darwin Walker and a 2008 late-round pick.

Stallworth, Patriots agree to deal Free-agent receiver Donte' Stallworth has agreed to terms with the Patriots on a six-year contract believed to be worth a little more than $30 million, a league source tells ESPN.com's Michael Smith. The former Eagle also turned down the Dolphins and Titans.

I always though Rattay looked like a decent QB when he was with the 9ers. He has a decent arm, makes quick decisions and seems in command of the offense. You would've though Chuckie would have given him a chance before tanking their season by going with a rookie. He looks like a good start against the Browns this week to me.

Bout Focking time! It's only taken 8 years for Reid to realize he sucks at play calling! It was good to see some patience with the run game today instead of abandoning it after a couple of unsuccessful runs. I'm sure the D was glad to be off the field for more than 30 seconds at a time today.

A push out is a non-reviewable play. Still they should have got it right, looking at the replay there is absolutely no doubt what so ever that he was coming down in bounds.
