Idea: Free Exchange of Site Player Projections
zippychi replied to Mike MacGregor's topic in Draft Buddy
I just checked out the ffchamps compiler and was fairly surprised that it is the same as fftoday. one is a pay product, without the additional areas for stats and also no buddy, while fftoday has the buddy and is free. for the 2nd time today I have to give some serious props to you guys!! -
Idea: Free Exchange of Site Player Projections
zippychi replied to Mike MacGregor's topic in Draft Buddy
Giant, I have found that in my scoring system both Owens and Moss end up very high in the VBD, like both top 5 overall. This is totally a function of scoring system + starting lineup (assuming you use last starter method). My league uses 3 WR so the VBD calc goes to 36th WR and skews the board somewhat. As far as inputing stats with different orders I used the VLOOKUP command that Mike explains in great detail on another thread, located here: http://www.fftodayforums.com/cgi-bin/ultim...c&f=20&t=000005 and was able to input stats from 2 other sites fairly easily. Just a sidenote, I had a problem with the players without projections, (example AJ Feeley), when I added the games (16) into the B adn C areas. It created an error in the fantasy points section, but by removing the games (16) for the players without projections the problem was solved. Wow, do I ramble or what? Anyway, hope that made sense.

I have entered projections into the compiler under Site B and Site C, by the way thanks for the Excel lesson to do this. Anyway, when I change the allocation percentage to use the other site projections the compiler is not calculating them. Although the total points projections seem right, they aren't used in the new allocation calculation. Anyone else noticed this? Does my rambling explanation make any sense? Thanks.

Thanks Mike, that did it. All that work of inputing 2 other sources wasn't for not.

Just went to see if I had the same problem. Using the first 3 letters of the team in CAPS is the way to go. ex. PIT Take a look at the player list on the right and you can see the coding for each player.

Just noticed this... When I change the allocation method, say to use Site B at 100%, the values in columns x thru ah go to zero. This appears to be the place where the allocation math should take place. HELP!?

zippychi replied to Mike FF Today's topic in Draft Buddy
I downloaded, what the hell it is only a little space/time. Thanks for the quick response. I am very impressed with this program and the buddy. I haven't been active here the last year and am very happy I stumbled back in to find this. -
2002 Cheatsheet Compiler: Version 2.1 Released
zippychi replied to Mike FF Today's topic in Draft Buddy
OK, computer idiot question... I have downloaded the first two versions of the compiler and have even done some stat work on them. Is it possible to update into the old files or do I need to download the new and then copy/paste over? Thanks -
Probably not the easiest but you could just increase the number of rounds of your draft and input the keepers into the extra rounds. This will eliminate them from the buddy list, and also put them on team rosters.
