  1. I also thought about taking Rogers at #1 for a liitle bit. The only reason I did not is there is a small chance you can get a top 5 QB at the 2/3 turn. There is no chance you will get a top 5 rb at the 2/3 turn. I missed on Cam by 1pick and Brees by 3 picks. And that is with Nicks, Marshall, Sjax, and Martin going mid second rd.
  2. As far as your targets go, Martin, Nicks, Julio, and Decker have jumped up the boards since I drafted. I like your strategy. Being a 2 time defending champ I think your strategy is working well. Keep the faith!
  3. I play in a league with almost exactly the same settings. I drafted from the #1spot on Aug 19. Here is how my draft went. Rd 1 Foster Rd 2 Julio- Nicks and Marshall were gone as well as my rb 2s Rd 3 AJ Green - rb2s gone and I like target hogs Rd 4 Eli- wanted a good QB and he was last QB1 i wanted Vick and Ryan went mid round 4 Rd 5. Ridley- did not like it then do not like it now. Running backs went quicker than expected in the first 3 rounds. 2 of the 14 went rb rb rb. 7 quarterbacks went in the first 4 rounds. First 5 went in rounds 1 and 2. No QBs in 3 rd and 3 in rd 4. 7 tight ends went in rounds 1-4. That is all I can give of the top of my head. Hope it helps.
  4. A few owners in my league felt I should allow them to vote for or against pending trades. They asked me to change our constitution to allow them that right. I vetoed their request to allow vetoes. Long live the constitution and freedom to all owners! Unless you are caught cheating. Then you will be banished and ridiculed. I know you all don't care but I am board.
  5. I wish my lack of intelligence was limited to the english language. However, Mike Williams and Austin Collie ended up on my roster. If you are going to drink while drafting, Hop Slam should not be your beer of choice. It is a great beer to celebrate special occasions. As long as those special occasions do not require decisions to be made.
  6. I have fixed my grammatical error thanks to the previous poster. I am truly sorry to those who were insulted. Special apologies to the letter e for my lack of respect. And I should apologize now for future errors. I should have studied harder for the fantasy football message bored entrance exam.
  7. I will brush up on my english during the off season. No time for that now.
  8. I have always taken great pride in my fantasy football league. 12 years as commish and this is my only "veto" The 2 owners are new and my response was love it or leave it.

    I'm starting Ridley over ______.

Of course we need help at rb. Bye weeks. Injuries. Crappy production. Time shares. Large league. And these are just my reasons for starting Ridley. Thomas 2 yds a carry Jones is not on my waiver wire either.

    I'm starting Ridley over ______.

I do think Ridley could be a good matchup play as a 3rd RB or flex play during the bye weeks with his current role. And who knows maybe his role will grow enough so he can be an every week starter (except week 7). It is not like defenses are going to put 8 in the box to stop the Pats run game. But with BB the question is who knows?

    Stop Me from doing this!

Thanks for the info I knew you would help!
  13. SJax vs Saints Priest vs Broncos Benson vs Raiders Please help me pick 2 to start this week. 1pt per 10 yards rush/rec, 6pts td

    another Rb question?

Jones is a good play against a Bears D who has struggled to stop the run. Jordan has a tough matchup with the Titans but so does Maroney with the Skins. If you need a win Wright would be a good play against the Rams if Lewis can't go, but I can understand if you don't want to drop Norwood for a one week play. If you don't want to drop Norwood I would go with Jones and Jordan.

not so great QB options.. vote one for me

I like Edwards alot more than the other options. Especially against the Jets. Lemon would be my second option. I would not even consider the other two.

    Trade Advice

Just like the above I would do it just because it is a PPR league.

    I Need Trade Help

Like everyone else I would do that trade based on the upgrade of Barber for Alexander. TJ and Bolden are fine at WR and Griese is turning into a very good option at QB. I like Curtis over Crayton but I would take either one of them. If you do this trade I would start Greise over Kitna this week.

    Pretty big trade

Getting Gates is a huge upgrade and Harrison is always a nice option to have when he gets healthy. I do not like Alexander but it looks like you are not relying on him to carry your team. I would make that trade without regret.
  19. Due to bye weeks and injury I have a little problem at the RB#2 position this week. Who should I start this week at RB#2? My lineup: QB: Brady RB: SJax RB: Jason Wright or Travis Henry, or Selvin Young WR: Chad Johnson WR: Calvin Johnson WR: Lee Evans TE: Gates K: Phil Dawson Def: Bears My options at #2RB: Option 1: Jason Wright : If Lewis is out I would love to start him against a week Rams defense, but I am worried about Jerome Harrison eating too much into his playing time. If Lewis plays ignore option 1 and see option 2 Option 2: Travis Henry or Selvin Young: The Monday night game is my true enemy here. If Henry had practiced Friday AND Saturday I would start him. If Henry was ruled out I would start Young. But I am afraid they will both be active and have NO IDEA how they will be used this Monday. The Packers have a pretty good defense against the run and I am afraid they will both cancel each other out if I wait to make a decision Monday night. However if I have to make this decision Monday who do you think is the safer play.

    wr help

I like Evans vs the Jets and Marshall vs the Packers. If Henry is out or limited the Broncos will probably throw more. The Pack seem to give up passing yards. Evans had a good game againt the Jets in their last meeting and again last week vs Ravens so hpefully he is getting his timing down with Edwards. Dallas is not a bad play I just like Evans and Marshall better.

    Need a little trade help

Thanks for your reply. I replied earlier I like the Lynch trade best. You give up the least for a very promising RB with a good playoff schedule.

    Just made this trade

I think it was a very good trade for you. Even if Harrison struggles, Branch and Stallworth are very good options at WR

    Need some trade advice?

I am thinking of trading FOR Calvin Johnson. The guy who owns him in my league is a fantasy schmuck who is almost impossible to trade with. However I have Dallas Clark who he wants bad. I have no problems giving up Clark because I am a Gates owner (TE required). My offer was going to be: I give: Dallas Clark and Mark Clayton I get: Calvin Johnson and Desmond Clark We start 1 qb, 2rb, 3 wr, 1 te, 1 k, 1 def My roster: QB: Brady,Eli RB: SJax, LJ, Henry, Rudi, S Young WR: Chad Johnson, Deion Branch, Ronald Curry, Dwayne Bowe, Lee Evans, Mark Clayton, Chris Henry TE: Gates, Dallas Clark K: Rackers Def: Bears The only reason I want megatron is if Branch can't stay healthy and Chad gets himself in trouble my receivers are pretty bad. Calvin is the only guy on this guy's roster I want (Colston his #1 WR, Maroney his #1 RB). Am I giving up too much for Calvin Johnson. PS, I am 6-1 and this guy is 2-4 with 6 games to go.
