Basing this years projections off of last years numbers....not a fan of that. If that's the case, pass on Shady, Calvin, Jimmy etc.
-
In PPR? Why not? Charles and Forte are likely to finish top 5 at their positions, Cobb and Fitz are possible top 8 at theirs, Graham is the undisputed #1 at his. RG3 would actually be the only question mark in my opinion (I'm thinking Mathews could be a great flex this year) but probably very safe. Top 2 Defense and a dome kicker you only take out during a bye. Seems good to me.

How you ended up with that RB/WR/TE starting combo is beyond me. Your starting team is pretty close to what could be considered a perfect draft. If you dont win, you should take it as a sign to quit FF.

I particularily dont care for the replacement of where the "trash-talk" area was, for the column "Commish updates". So stupid. As the commish, I have no updates, the rules will stay the rules etc. throughout the season. The league I commish is pretty trash talk heavy and now we cant enjoy that. F-U Yahoo.

Does anyone trust Tony Romo as a fantasy starter?
Yer mom replied to robblockamyeir's topic in FFToday Board
Its nice too see what attracted me to this place back in the day, namecalling and trash-talk. I look at all of your guys line-ups and laugh, youre all last place FF'ers Oh and I love Tony Romo this year at his draft spot (Might as well contribute something related)- 98 replies

This year I feel like RB-RB is the only strategy.
Yer mom replied to tanatastic's topic in FFToday Board
In a 12 team flex I totally agree, not enough wealth to gamble. Unless Calvin comes to you in the 1st, you can get solid RB in the 2nd. Or you get a RB in the 1st, and Jimmy in the second. I don't think any other scenario validates abandoning RB/RB in a 12 team unless its QB friendly or you see Dez surpassing Mega. -
This is the exactly the right perspective.

Results from my first 'wait on QB' draft....

I'm sure most would agree with you, it's decisions like this that win me fantasy championships though, going with the gut. I actually could have had Ryan a round earlier than I took Luck, but took Eddie Lacy instead. I think Ryan will have less completions this year with a better running game in place and Julio breaking out as the elite deep-threat in the NFL. With Arians gone in Indy, implementing the 2 TE system, no running game, the talent at WR and a crappy D, Luck could have Brady like completion totals. I think Luck will outscore both Ryan and Cam in PPR this year -
Stretched too thin at RB even with that great core of WR's. Newton is too expensive in the 5th for PPR in my opinion. But hey, this is Shooters tour. You've paid your dues and shouldn't listen to some sideshow freak

Hey Mike, why don't you make this a league host site?
Yer mom replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in FFToday Board
I have one. Its only brought out for Weddings, Funerals and other celebratory occasions. -
That's fair. But Morris also had a rookie QB and what was expected to be a struggling offense. Different situation here, in what is probably the best QB/receiving weapons combo in the NFL. Lacy breaks tackles, churns out yardage and will likely not see a stacked box outside of the red zone. This is a great explosion situation.

Packers LG Josh Sitton confirmed that Eddie Lacy will have a bigger role in the wake of DuJuan Harris' season-ending injury. We already liked Lacy as the stronger half of the one-two punch the Packers were planning with Harris. Now we love him. "He's going to have to step up and probably have a larger role," Sitton said. "He's going to have to grow. He can't be a rookie anymore." The Packers are committed to finding a run game after Aaron Rodgers was sacked a league-high 51 times last year. In five 2012 games before injury, Cedric Benson averaged 14.2 carries and 2.8 catches per game. Lacy will explode with that kind of workload. My gut feeling was a 1100-1200 APY type season, seems about certain now. I dont think 8-10 TD's is a far stretch either. A good year ahead for him.

He was good at WV, but hes on the Jets. He'll sneak you into last place

That's what I liked about it, it's a game and that look carried a fun identity. Now it's all fancy and stuff. It reminds me of Ricky Vaughn in Major League 2, where he chooses the blonde over the brunette girl next door. He had it right the first time.

I have: Calvin Jimmy Vereen Sudfeld Luck TY On every team. I really wanted DeSean Jackson, I think hes highly undervalued. A certainty for mid-high WR2 this year in my opinion.
-
No.

I've been hollering this for some time, now even more-so with Will Smith out for the year and a few other D-players injured. They'll be giving up ridiculous points on D, my numbers for Jimmy are staggering, I took him in the 2nd everywhere. "Jimmy's got a backer!"
-
-
Yeah. While hes not broken. They'll be playing from behind, somebody's gotta catch something.

My MVP......Leroy Freakin Hoard after he vulture 9 TDs from Robert Smith. Honorable mention....Derrick Mayes....only year he did anything in the NFL. I loved Robert Smith, he ran like a gazelle.
-
Great ones mentioned. Can't believe no mention of Terry motherfu**in Allen. I landed him in my first draft in 96'. I also had Cris Carter and Herman Moore. It was magical. I also had Jeff George, he got hurt and replaced him with Bobby Hebert, he was an asswhole. Robert Brooks Carl Pickens Yancy Thigpen Tony Martin

Results from my first 'wait on QB' draft....
Yer mom replied to Matt Mueller's topic in FFToday Board
I was able to get Calvin and Graham in every league, the thought was to have the clear-cut #1's at those positions. RB's obviously went off the boards quick, but with the intent of going Calvin/Jimmy/Julio or Fitz in the first three rounds of all my drafts, I was pretty certain I would end up with PPR studs like Bush, Sproles who could make a push for top 10 PPR RB's. In last nights case, I was able to get 5 top 25 players (most likely) over the span of like 47 total picks. Bangin value. I personally think Luck will outscore Griffin, Newton, Wilson, Kaep, Ryan. So I love getting Luck late. -

Fock Yahoo Grades. A league I drafted in tonight, granted Yahoo gave me an A, there were two teams that scored A+, im certain theyre not better. Without getting too detailed, I had a better draft, dont care about K and D as they are replaceable weekly, Starters: Mega Jimmy Julio Alfred Steven Jackson TY Hilton Luck Interestingly in this 14 year league, QBs kind of flew off the bored, I was taking Luck late anyway, love the upside. I couldnt believe the lack of faith in Morris and Jackson. I expected to get maybe Bush, Sproles, Lacy etc in the 4th/5th. Instead I was able to get Morris and Jackson. Its only 10 teams, 1pt PPR, but im fairly fu**ing certian that this team will win this league. -
If this Pre-season game is any indication, a healthy Andre Johnson is still pretty damn elite
-
I'm not a homer, but 2 years ago he set the NFL all-purpose yards record (granted that includes his punt returns). Last year he missed time to injury. Sean Payton back, loves getting the ball in his hands. I'm really happy to have him in a PPR format.
