Did anyone buy into my hype of Laviska back on 9/4? Looks like he might be a solid WR who gets some carries, but James Robinson was really the pickup over there.
-
Fair, though we really don't know how good Damien Harris is. He certainly has Burkhead still stealing touches and White getting all the receptions, but Belicheck loved him out of the draft and unsurprisingly he had rave reviews in camp and does many things well, which is the kind of player Belicheck likes. There is potential, albeit capped potential.

UPDATE: Tua Time Coming Soon? - Tua In, Fitzpatrick Out
steelers2101 replied to AintNoStoppinMeNow's topic in FFToday Board
This. That said, while the poster you are responding to didn't consider this possibility, which is imho far more likely than them going back to Fitz once they go to Tua, the first possibility remains and Tua, despite being a talented runner, can throw the ball accurately, I believe. Worth the shot to hold. That said, Fitz does sling it, so Miami will have to be better overall while likely being a little more well-rounded for Parker's value to go up. -
Austin Ekeler's status on league sites
steelers2101 replied to rotisserieking's topic in FFToday Board
When the actual Los Angeles Chargers list Ekeler as out or designate him for IR, Yahoo will do so. Unfortunately, those decisions are revolve around the actual football teams, not our fantasy teams. -
Lol, yes. There was no action on the other thread.

Anyone talking about the impact on the Jaguars? Has anyone mentioned or looked at Laviska Shenault Jr, the most talented runner in Jax? Albeit, he is a 6'1/6'2" 220-230 lb receiver, but he runs like Marshawn Lynch and might start out the gate with a Percy Harvin like role. I am just curious what the chances are he gets a chance to run with the starting RB job or maybe even just a split at RB while otherwise lining up at WR, hopefully finding himself on the field for a solid majority of the snaps. Any Jags homers have any greater insight? I have scoured the web for news on him and among a few other things, this is essentially what I have found on him: https://withthefirstpick.com/2020/09/01/jaguars-laviska-shenault-expectations-2020/ https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jaguars-raving-over-laviska-shenault-after-first-full-speed-practice-and-heres-where-he-stands-in-wr-battle/ https://blackandteal.com/2020/08/14/jacksonville-jaguars-laviska-shenault-will-rookie-year/ https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2889744-fantasy-alert-wr-laviska-shenault-jr-to-play-wildcat-qb-rb-te-for-jaguars Anyone in relatively deep leagues where he is easily worth a flyer and have looked and him and have thoughts? I think he has a ton of upside and maybe talent wins out on a rebuilding team and he can win at least a share of carries, if not be a league winner as a surprise starting RB (maybe 1/100 to 1/1000 shot, but that can change by the day).

So..there's DeMarcus Robinson on my waiver wire...

Drop Mattison -
I'm looking at Cincy and Buffalo and not sure which I like more. Cincy is pretty banged up and Chicago doesn't give up as much as far as sacks or turnovers. Buffalo on the other hand plays an Indy team that gives up more sacks than anyone, thought 18 came against just 2 games against Jax and Ten. That said, Buffalo also has an offense that can put their D in a tough spot. I have Baltimore but don't like the idea of playing them when I am starting Big Ben and LeVeon. It would be like getting just 3.2 points per Big Ben or Bell TD. (-0.4 per point allowed).

Note, GB finishes against Carolina and Minnesota weeks 15 and 16. Poor RB matchups.

Drop David Johnson and/or Woodhead (already have Collins) for Jones and/or Mike Davis in a shallow standard league?
-
This. I think it says a lot that he was given the job initially. I am hoping he is FAR better than we expect at this point. I need it after losing Watson and Rodgers in a 2 QB league.
-
I think what he is asking and I am wondering as well is why is he not permitted to practice with the team until November 20; assuming that's the deal with being placed on the Commissioner's exempt list, why must he be placed on that list?

Apparently Jalen Ramsey of the Jags is pretty good, so this may not be the week Tyrell explodes onto the scene. We'll see. -

Tyrell Williams is the move. Breakout. Might finish top 25. Will be drafted next year as a WR2 at minimum. https://www.fantasypros.com/2016/09/very-deep-sleeper-update-tyrell-williams-chargers/ (check the original post as well) D2 or not, kid looks like a man amongst boys while racing past everyone. -
Thank you. That is all.

Still having a hard time starting Hill over Crowell or Benjamin. Non-PPR. Basically I can start 1 of those 3. Or 2 of those 3 plus Joique Bell.

Official Latavius Murray breakout thread!
steelers2101 replied to Giants Fan's topic in FFToday Board
Started him! Too bad for the injury. He might have scored 50! Good call, Giants Fan. I started him due to KC being among the league worst in YPC allowed. Their RB-allowed numbers were skewed by them having not allowed a touchdown to an RB all season. -
People really will complain about anything, won't they. I'm strongly thinking of leaving a WR spot empty this week and a TE spot empty next week to avoid dropping even just Juwan Thompson, my 5th RB, in a 14 team league. People can manage their teams as they wish. As long as they are doing it for their benefit and not to help out a specific opponent, it is fine. And also assuming that they are throwing the game due to a couple empty spots is silly. Anything can happen. People win all the time despite a couple bad roster spots in a week. Tell your league to stop whining.

Fellow Montee Ball Owners.....let's have a chat.
steelers2101 replied to DEEZNUTS's topic in FFToday Board
Thompson > Ball as well, especially in short yardage. -
Agree. Also, if I have Peyton already, I'd much rather have Joique Bell than "Fred Jackson AND Kaepernick." Still seems weak based on her statements, but sounds like sour grapes on your part. And given he has Luck, seems to me she actually fleeced him.
-
Planning to start McFadden myself, over either Quick or Benjamin. Think I should bench Benjamin, but since I'm already starting Quick in another league, I may just hedge my bet.
-
How is Tampa Bay's secondary? I imagine they are stronger up front.
-
Thinking that St. Louis will probably trail and struggle to run @TB and will have to look to take some deep shots to Quick, and Britt, too. Quick is a burner whose biggest criticism coming out of college was a lack of experience despite having all the tools. He's now in his third year. He may now be putting it all together. I'm starting him over Bowe in a long TD bonus league and over Miller at flex in a .5 PPR league.
