All off-season they were talking about phasing Hester out a bit as a WR then as soon as camp began they started drinking the Hester Kool Aid again.
-
With any concussion, why would you want to rush him back the next week if it is only pre-season?
-
Hope you have a great Birthday!! .

Very good job, Newbie. Have a beer!

Precisely, a very solid team. We keep a close eye on the O but the D has playmakers that get the turnovers and can score as well.

QUOTE(wiffleball @ Mar 6 2008, 02:30 PM) * I would not be surprised to see the winner of that Divsion go 8-8. I agree with Donhaas on this as well. When it comes to the Norris Division he knows what he is talking about.

I like the Vikings myself. They have spots of weakness and areas to tweek. But overall I believe them to be a very solid team.

Damm, another Silverback!!

You should consider hanging around. But if not. -
The same thing happened to me, Dawg. Followed Remote Controllers Whiskey Bottle to get here. I am not Burt, or am I???? Great to see the gang.

I did read where Zorn was impressed with Clinton's pass catching skills. He inferred that Portis may stay on the field more. It sounds like Betts will be more of a traditional backup. Coming in for a complete series here and there to relieve Portis. There is a lot to still transpire between now and the season. of course. But it sounds like whoever is in at the time will be used for rushing and in the passing game while they are on the field.

Any WAS homers have the Portis update from the weekend?
coachnorm replied to cortezthekiller303's topic in FFToday Board
Hey, Remote Controller, good to see ya! Indy Tom makes a good point also. Even if Portis plays, Duckett would probably get alot of the early season goalline action. Portis would have to score from at least 15 yards out to get a TD. -

This would probably be the best indicator we will get. I don't think they will risk using Portis in the game if he is not healthy. I would also presume that they wouldn't risk him in practice as well. During the preseason teams are under no obligation to divulge injury info. Now they will have to at least put Portis on an injury report, in theory. Generally, players that don't practice, don't play for the most part, but there are exceptions and dreaded Game-Time decisions. Having an injuried player really makes you have to do your research/homework. -
K9tofive gave some excellent advice and it sounds like you are on the right track now

Post a player and I'll tell you what I think he'll do this year.

Nobody, very nice work here. I have read nobodys insights for years and have grown to respect his views. Tj is another poster that has established himself over the years as a top notch fantasy poster. To have both these posters offering insight in one thread is about as good a 1-2 punch as you can get. -
This is starting to smell funny.

A blurb from KFFL.com Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos rookie WR Brandon Marshall is benefiting from the extra practice at passing camp with Denver Broncos WR Javon Walker (knee) and WR Ashley Lelie not practicing. "I want to know what other teams were thinking passing up on him," Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey said of Marshall. "Guy's an incredible talent, obviously. You can prove yourself only so much in practice, but he's doing well enough to catch everybody's eye. I want to see how that translates to Sunday."

Bengals | Henry not likely to be charged in latest investigation Wed, 3 May 2006 22:41:30 -0700 KFFL.com Updating a previous report, WKRC.com reports Cincinnati Bengals officials believe WR Chris Henry was not involved in any criminal activity and believe at this time he will not be charged with any crime. Team officials had conversations with Henry and investigators over allegations that Henry was involved in "alleged crime of a sexual nature." Henry was implicated in the investigation because he allegedly gave his credit card to a friend to use at the Covington hotel over the weekend. When the complaint involving a crime of sexual nature was filed by the female, the credit card led investigators to Henry. He was not at the hotel when police contacted him.

Giants | Strahan involved with April Fool's Day joke Sat, 1 Apr 2006 06:45:55 -0800 Vinny DiTrani, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Giants DE Michael Strahan staged an April Fool's Day joke Friday evening, March 31, on the "Best Damn Sports Show Period" TV show. The result of the show was Strahan lying on the floor in pain at the end of the show. Giants head coach Tom Coughlin and general manager Ernie Accorsi were warned earlier in the week that Strahan and Tom Arnold would get into a "scrap" at the end of the show over some of the things Arnold said about Strahan in his alleged new book. The book, the quotes, the fight and the injury, were bogus. Rob Dibble and Rodney Peete stepped in to break up the "fracas," after which Strahan was seen writhing on the floor with what appeared to be an arm injury.
