    Interesting Bulger Stat

I can provide further evidence to bolster "Nobody"s stat fact. My brother, Mark, spells his name with a "k". Good info Nobody, thanks for sharing that stat.

Runningback by Committee -- Now Fantasy Friendly?

Actually, there is one RBBC that was theoretically (1 game) quite good and prolific - James Brooks and Ickey Woods. Ickey, however, went out with an ACL in week 2 on a goal line plunge. I had them both that year, Ickey being my #1 overall pick. Missed the playoffs that year and learned you can't have any Giant WR as your #1 or #2 WR, aside from likely Plexico who I was very tempted to draft, but that Giant WR scar is still tender down deep.

Runningback by Committee -- Now Fantasy Friendly?

Never. Ever. Never ever. Period. Off topic .... dual WRs from the same team, though less rare, can make a successful football team. Back in '84, I had Duper and Clayton, who were both phenmomenal. Unfortunately, I had Mark Malone as my starting and really only QB - <blech>. Quick edit (double quote and misspelled word) from these old eyes and fat fingers before the nazi spelling and grammatical police get on my butt. And I did it again ...

    ***Official Vikings/Redskins thread***

Great call on 3rd down for that TD run. The benefits of Mike Tice's firing are already paying dividends.

    Dillon or Maroney

Maroney's value is only upside at this very early point in the season. He should either be: 1. your 3rd or higher back in 10-14 team leagues or 2. packaged [with something else] for a proven starter and point scorer

    Doesn't Tony Kornheiser ...

    turned into Golem?

    Dillon or Maroney

Until the official changing of the guard at RB for NE, I think Maroney's best FF role for now is relegated to being your 3rd or 4th back, subbing for your starter's bye week. Sure you might miss an exceptional performance with starting him instead of having him as your 3rd or higher back (for bye weeks), but in trying to over-analyze the current situation, it is like trying to catch lightning in a bottle, and you will thus lessen your team's chances for victory. Additionally, Dillon is still very much seen as the back called upon to get those tough couple yards or shorter.

    Carolina D

    1) Have they been hyped better than they actually are? 2) Or is Atl (Vick, Dunn and Co.) much better than they were? 3) Or both I don't think it's #1 since I don't know of any real key losses. major injuries or aging to the D, but would like to hear from Carolina homers or those that watched the Panther game and know the Panthers. Hmm, just read they played with two backup LB's - not good. Not good at all. Hm, just read they played extensively with two backup LBs. Not good at all.

    Bob Costas

I think Chiefs04 summed Costas' personality better than I first attempted - arrogant and self-righteous.

    Archie Mannings seed

I bet Archie could make more money than most of us make in our lifetimes with just a couple sperm deposits. Could you imagine the QBs available in approximately 20 years if Maria Sharipova received or paid for one of his deposits?

    Lions homers

This will be a mess for Lions owners all year because of two words: Mike Martz The only other coaches that come to mind in making me completely stay away from drafting their players are: - June Jones - Dan Henning Wayne Fontes would have been there too, but Barry saved his teams in terms of FF value.

    Bob Costas

Does anyone else find his hoity-toity analysis as annoying as I do? He should be doing "hard-hitting" interviews of Paris Hilton on E! and providing his so called sage advince and commentary elsewhere or anywhere besides the NFL.

    Herm Edwards

What is the deal with this guy? Motivation can only take you so far. Good coaches both motivate and have an understanding of the game (game plan, X's and O's, game flow). He has the top RB in the league and yet he abandoned the run very, very early and subsequently just got his QB killed. Seems like a running theme with Herm as head coach.
