My above response was if you go it alone, and there is no guarantee you'd get any shares I work at an RIA and we could participate and say we got 200,000 shares, we'd allocate say a 1% position across all of our accounts, so even the small accounts would get a few shares in the IPO. Option 1 be rich and fill out forms or have your broker do it Option 2 open an account at a broker in a portfolio with a large cap tech strategy and you stand a good chance at getting shares.
