Elliot - I feel has the best voice in the competition, I can see him in the top three, but losing out due to "look". Wrong, because he is a top notch talent. He is actually the only one I can see me buying a CD of. Kellie - was great tonight, a little hottie, (absolutely loved the red lace up number she was wearing ) the naive routine is getting old: "Minx? Why you callin' me a coat?" I can't see two country style women winning, as talented as they are, they are lost as far as American Idol. Carrie Underwood is doing great things in her genre, but most of America is unaware. That is the last thing American Idol wants. They want the Clarkson-type recognition - even if she still blows them off. Mandisa - doing a tad too much of the religious crap. And I still think she over-sings everything. And she seems to be growing every week.. Really scary. Chris - is pretty talented, has plenty of tools, but is DUMB DUMB DUMB. Why? He is good, rocked early, so much so that he was offered the job of lead singer for the band Fuel. He declines. He'll likely not win Idol, and as far as his own band... Paris - nice voice, very nice actually, but just too young. Bucky - not sure who he has pictures of. Sings like he has a mouthful of buffalo balls. Ace - Ace?! Hated him since I heard the name. The only true Ace is Ace Frehley. Taylor - I actually downloaded three of his own songs from a Public Radio and I think they are fantastic. Great doing his own songs, his talents are sometimes lost doing when performing covers on the show. IT is a shame, he is probably the most original, but that fact will do him in at some point. Katherine - tonight really made her play to win. Overall she seems the most experienced. She seemed "older" and more befitting of winning it all. Will she? DOn't know. Can't see another female winning it - I think they want an impact male. And yeah, she did look hot, but paled in comparison to Kellie last night. (unlacing the shirt in my mind... )

Interesting.. Ah, Syd Barrett. He did have some issues, erratic and manic behavior and was replaced. Waters was there - Gilmour replaced Barrett. Actually did some solo stuff, pretty neat. The Barrett Floyd stuff was really bizarre, with humor and wit. Floyd post Barrett was more universally accepted. The Wall was actually about Syd I believe. In a round about kinda way. Neat stuff. Acid anyone?

Two bands that couldn't recover - past and present: Lynyrd Skynyrd - the brother Johnny just can't fill Ronnie's shoos. INXS - that new kid is terrible. "It ain't pretty..." Literally. I can only hope he trys spanking it hanging from the ceiling fan.

Genesis did pretty well making the transition from Peter Gabriel to Phil Collins. More mainstream, yes, but cannot argue with the success. Not bad when a singer of Gabriel's caliber exits, and some kid behind the drum kit takes his place rather admirably.
