The Libs complained for months that Trump was going to be a dictator. Now he's deferring to Elon. Which is it Libs? -

At least Squissy admits the race is between Ford and Biden. He just wants Biden to be named 2nd worst, as if that's some huge accomplishment. -

Apparently Squissy thinks the inclusion of Gerald Ford would sway things :roflmao: -
We saw them on that tour too

I read about this death of REO a couple weeks ago and looked in to it a little bit. Basically, REO has been down to three "original" members for a long time. I put original in quotes because Kevin Cronin was in and out of the band a couple of times in the early 70's before becoming the long term lead singer so he's borderline on being called an original member. But of the band members of the established band they were down to three members - Bruce Hall, Neal Doughty, and Kevin Cronin. Neal Doughty had already announced he was retiring from touring. This comes down to a bit of a rift between Kevin Cronin and Bruce Hall. And it takes a majority of those three to decide whether "REO Speedwagon" tours and when they all voted Bruce and Neal said no which means Kevin Cronin can't use that name. But he's still touring with the lead guitarist and maybe the drummer that's been in the band forever. For all intents and purposes it will still be REO except they probably won't do the songs Bruce Hall used to sing on tour. Bruce Hall used to contribute one or two songs per album that he wrote and sang. So they won't do the one or two of his songs of his in concert they typically do. All that being said, Kevin Cronin's band is touring with Styx and Don Felder next year and we have third row seats when they come to Denver in June.

Well I had never heard of this Jack guy until this thread either. Maybe it's because I look at about 3 tweets a week. You and @squistion should get off Twitter.

He keeps hoping to get moved to the morning shift but they keep him on closing. He's really good at cleaning the shake machine.

That doesn't contradict what I posted. Maybe don't be a banned alias posting dumb things?

So the pediatric cancer research people are whining about actually passed the House as a standalone bill last March, but Chuck Schumer stalled it in the Senate. https://x.com/greg_price11/status/1870138912754053447?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1870138912754053447|twgr^afeab8cf5f78e37ee74a51c5fc2c35bb8838977e|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Flegalinsurrection.com%2F2024%2F12%2Fpediatric-cancer-research-funding-passed-in-march-but-stalled-in-schumers-senate%2F Dems don't care about pediatric cancer research!!!!!

It's true, but doesn't guarantee passage of those bills.

Warren Buffett drives a 2014 Cadillac. Just because one has money doesn't mean they don't know the value of it. In fact, I suspect rich people understand the value of money better then poor people. If more poor and middle class people understood the value of money we'd have more upper class and rich people.

I'm sure Elon would go broke without government contracts. Of course, NASA would be dead without them.

Good video about how "bad" things will get if the gov't shuts down: https://x.com/JohnStossel/status/1870127238953197713?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1870127238953197713|twgr^410755e8ce6b638e7b8c5ddeff1b98d0431dc712|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fredstate.com%2Fbrandon_morse%2F2024%2F12%2F20%2Fjohn-stossel-exposes-just-how-big-of-a-crisis-a-government-shutdown-is-not-n2183459

If they end up cutting 100 billion in pork from the final CR and it costs us a few billion I would call that a win.

Mask mandates coming back: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-14210119/mutiple-states-face-mask-rules-pandemic-virus-winter.html My favorite quote from that article: Why would a sick person ever think of going to the hospital?

I'm not saying they would have been found liable, but I don't think it's cut and dry. There is a report the George was told in advance REPEATEDLY by his producer not to use the R word and he did it anyways. That points to the standard of "actual malice" which could cause ABC to be held liable. Given that the media in general, and George in particular, are outraged that ABC settled I don't think it's as simple as ABC just tossing pocket change at Trump. In general, the media don't like to admit they made a mistake. They want to be thought of as beyond reproach and that their organization supports good "journalism."

These guys really are clowns. They didn't pass our bill - It's their fault. We didn't pass their bill - It's their fault.
