MSNBC Mayhem: Rachel Maddow Pay Cut, Brutal Lineup Shakeup Coming
Strike replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
I'm open to ideas. Since it's going to be the best, biggest, news channel ever we need to get it right. We'll do a poll thread after we take ownership. -

If we all tossed in $5 we might be able to buy it. Can rename it MSNGC and make it "fair and balanced" by giving @jonmx a morning show and have the @The Real timschochet and @squistion hour at night. Just have to fill in the rest of the day....... -

Yeah, it's only acceptable when YOUR side does it to conservatives. Such a tard. -
I have entertained this thought as well

Wouldn't you rather say that about Dana Perino though?

And she actually does have some relevant background: https://apnews.com/article/linda-mcmahon-trump-education-secretary-wwe-613016d0c164b89765af761404cbb123

That ad is a minute and a half long. Not intended for widespread distribution. Clearly intended to be an under the radar, viral type ad where people post it on low rent message boards to try to generate interest in the product. Doubt it moves the needle.

She lives in California. Pretty much is somewhere other than the U.S.

He only came out with a statement AFTER the supreme court b*tch slapped the local election boards. He SHOULD have prevented the need for the supreme court to even get involved.

How could he know he was working out that night or something? No one knows when or where it even happened. There are no specifics. And the people she said knew about it all deny it. When your own witnesses deny something that's a clue it didn't happen.

There literally wasn't. Not a shred. In fact, her best friend that she said she went to the party with said she didn't remember the party or ever meeting Kavanaugh. The only "evidence" she had was that she told a therapist 30 years later but IIRC she didn't give a name. All the actual evidence was exculpatory.

Well what was your opinion about who would win the election a couple weeks ago? You don't have to answer
-
Wow, so off base. How about people find sources they consider credible, and use multiple sources along with critical thinking skills to form informed opinions on their own. The weakest link is the indoctrination being done in our primary school system and the lack of critical thinking skills being taught. We're dumbing down the country one generation at a time. Hopefully home schooling and school choice can stem that tide.

I HOPE that is one thing we can all agree on -
Key words - supposed to. The NYT doesn't do that.

You people pretending this is just a "guest editorial" are nuts. They haven't allowed truly independent "guest" editorials since the furor over Tom Cotton's cost the editorial page editor his job: https://www.economist.com/1843/2023/12/14/when-the-new-york-times-lost-its-way

It's worth nothing that the governor is already being spoken of as a possible candidate for President in the next election. That he hasn't already nipped this in the bud is telling.

I've actually seen all seasons. Showtime just happened to have on Episode 10 of season 2 last night, and it got me wanting to see the last two episodes of that season so I streamed them. Definitely some interesting characters on the show. I like the narration of Dexter's thought processes. Overall, a solid show with a couple of slow seasons. There's a season with John Lithgow that is amazing if you finish all the seasons. -

How far through it are you? I watched the last few episodes of Season 2 last night. They just happened to be on. Some of the seasons were kind of weak but it started off very strong. There are two spin off series coming out soon so you better hurry up! -

I try to be optimistic, and I wouldn't wish such a fate on anyone, especially someone I might try to wager a handy out of at some point.
