So, the idea is she retires and before Trump is inaugurated Biden appoints Sontamayor's replacement and gets it confirmed. The timeline is doable. There is a difference between accountability and retribution. If these people broke laws they should be held accountable. They like to think that if they keep it all in the swamp they can hide the evidence. But the evidence is there and now someone outside the swamp has won and knows the lengths the swamp will go to to protect it's secrets/wrongdoings.

We already have this. In IT/professional circles it's called H1-B visas. For agricultural workers it's called the H-2A visa. There is also H-2B and possibly other types of visas. People like @The Real timschochet don't acknowledge these programs because they want us all to believe there are no other avenues to get workers here to do the jobs "Americans won't do."

Not sure where you're located exactly EG but over here in Littleton we didn't get much over night. Still have probably close to a foot from Wednesday night's storm but yesterday/last night we didn't get very much.

I posted a link to her LinkedIn page, which has since been deleted. But I got to read it before she deleted it. She was some type of reserve FEMA employee. She has another, real full time job, working for some financial services company of some sort up in Sux's area, but her LinkedIn page specifically mentions being a reserve FEMA employee. So I think she was an employee of FEMA when they need extra help such as the recent hurricanes. Hopefully her boss at her regular job gets wind of this and fires her a$$, in addition to FEMA who for whatever reason hasn't already done so.

Yes but you have to look at the purpose of the amendment when it was passed. In this case, the purpose of the amendment had nothing to do with immigration. It was enacted after the end of slavery to make it clear that slaves who had been freed were American Citizens.
