AI Data Centers - What Could Go Wrong?

I never said I was the biggest fan of AI. I think I've told people around here to slow their roll when they try to use AI to support their arguments, because AI is prone to a lot of errors. That being said, it does a lot more than you suggested. For instance, AI is being used to accelerate the development of drugs. We are just touching the surface of AI and how it can help humankind. instead of lamenting that it uses too much power, we need to be generating more power. It's too bad we were so shortsighted and abandoned Nuclear decades ago. If we'd kept up we'd have plenty of power. But hey, let's just build more windmills, right?

Yeah, because that's ALL AI does.

  4. So apparently back in 2021 this dooshbag thought a police lieutenant should resign for anonymously contributing $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse's defense: https://www.virginiascope.com/jay-jones-is-calling-for-the-norfolk-pd-officers-resignation-if-the-rittenhouse-allegations-are-true/ But wish someone dead and you're off the hook.

    US Federal Government Shutdown Thread

Our forefathers wanted to make sure for important things there was a more significant majority to ensure people worked together. And traditionally that hasn't been that much of an issue. In THIS particular case, the Republicans have offered something called a "Continuing Resolution" which is basically a short term extension of the current terms. ZERO changes. For one month to allow for further negotiations. And the Democrats have rejected that offer, which is why you're hearing people blaming them for this shutdown.

You don't vote for a shutdown. The budget expires. If you don't pass a new one the government shuts down.

Home of South Carolina Judge catches fire

What is SC? You realize it could easily be interpreted as Supreme Court. Maybe adjust your title?
  10. I understand why you're trying to rewrite your posting history. You did the same thing with covid. It's your M.O. at this point.
  11. Yeah this is the guy you defended for over a week. Now you're trying to backtrack. It's COVID all over again!!!
  12. This is why you two aren't serious posters. When you break the law you don't get to keep the fruits of your crime. That's lawful society 101.
  13. Not shocked considering you're from the " Only a lib with an agenda would suggest otherwise" camp. Another LEGITIMATE comparison would be if someone broke in to your house and started living there and we didn't make them vacate the premises when you called the cops because "that would be too much of a PUNISHMENT."
  14. 1) Not for you to decide. 2) It's not a punishment. That would be like saying that if someone steals your car, beyond making them serve some time in prison, the punishment would be unfair if we made them give you back your car. Deporting them is simply making them give back the benefits of their crime. The deportation is not a punishment. Only a lib with an agenda would suggest otherwise.
  15. Probably the only one of note is Sleep Token. I had never heard of them until a buddy of mine flew in to Denver last minute last year to see them. We checked online and found another ticket for me so I got to go. Had no idea what to expect but they were pretty good.
  16. Hey @TimHauck, the following article answers a lot of the "questions" you have that have absolutely no relevance to this case, but here you go: https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/crime-and-courts/2025/10/02/ian-roberts-des-moines-superintendent-dmps-us-work-authorization-complaint-atf/86482051007/
  17. Nope. No purpose in doing so. I've given you the source. If you really care you can find it.
  18. Get, that group doesn't have a bias!!!!! Also, the poll the NYTimes published a few days ago begs to differ with your source's UNBIASED assertions.
