California grandfather fatally shot while trying to apologize for fender bender at Walmart

Wow. Pick a sexual assaulter to support your argument? What does Bill Cosby think? -

My beef with you is that you're purposely AND admittedly trolling this place up. I get that there are a lot of twits around here doing the same thing but most are either aliases of accounts that have been banned or people with no history here. My expectation of the old timers, especially the self described "silverbacks", is to try to elevate this place to the type of bored it used to be and not contribute to bringing it down further. This place may be a lost cause but some of us would like it to, as much as possible, return to it's former glory and not crash and burn. -
Kansas City mayor accuses governor of racial 'dog whistle' for calling Super Bowl parade shooters 'thugs'

Sure, and some people get offended when they have no reason to be offended. They just look for reasons to get offended. -

Show some proof that it would make a difference. As I noted in my previous post, none of the incidents you've made that proposal in response to would have been prevented by that rule. And it's a very cumbersome rule for people to follow. So, absent some proof that it would actually make a difference, it just comes off as you wanting to say you did "something." And I don't believe you that law enforcement experts say it will reduce crime. You've never shown any proof of that. We just don't hear about crime being committed from the private sale of a firearm to a criminal. It's a non-issue. -

We already have universal background checks. Nothing you've ever proposed would have prevented any of the incidents you've proposed them in response to. It's ridiculous. But that's your M.O. -

Hmmmm, kind of sounds like school shootings.........We shouldn't demonize the hundreds of millions of responsible gun owners for the actions of a few........Glad we'll never hear you pushing for more gun control again!!! -
Had to be more than "trash talking" or 99% of us would be on constant suspension. The fact that you won't tell us is very telling.
-
So what did you do to get suspended?

Of course you don't understand my point. So why did you respond to my post, which was directed at @Voltaire and not you? Then you chose to focus on whether YOU had made the argument I attributed to you instead of the ACTUAL POINT. Isn't that what you accuse me of doing? Focusing on semantics and not the actual point? The POINT is that crime stats are misleading because illegals don't tend to want to interact with the legal system. And now, by your own admission, you agree with me. -

Tim is against anecdotal evidence until it suits him. Then he has no problem posting it. -

So do you reject my point that illegals don't report crime, especially illegal on illegal crime, due to their illegal status? Because that's not the consensus amongst law enforcement. And it's one of the arguments for sanctuary cities. -

Strike replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
The problem with using simplistic things like crime stats is that the flip side of this argument is that we have to legalize illegals because when they have illegal status they don't REPORT crimes. That's one of the arguments people like Tim make for making them legal. Well, you can't have it both ways. They don't affect the crime rate BUT we have to make them legal so they can feel comfortable reporting crimes. That's one of the problems with discussing things with Tim. He looks at very little pockets of data but doesn't use common sense and logic to put together the entire picture. He focuses on those little pockets instead of the entire picture due to that lack of capability. -

And has no self awareness. I mean, he and Squissy are about as close to brothers as anyone and even Squis knows Tim won't honor this commitment. it's pathetic that he follows the same pattern over and over. -

Wow, this EXACT same thing happened at FBG's after one of Tim's many suspensions for violating the TOS. And, of course, within a week or two Tim was just posting away all over the place anyways. It's so weird how we can predict exactly what will happen with him over and over. Tim if you want to send someone trustworthy, say Jerry, $1000 that you forfeit if you ever post in another thread I'll honor your request. Otherwise, fock that. I'll troll the fock out of anything you post in because your commitments when it comes to posting are meaningless. I'm so focking sick of you making commitments like this and then reneging on them when you get bored. -
I believe that was last September. Got anything recent on it?

Roflmao. Libs think the NY ruling will hold up on appeal.
