It's gonna turn out to be crap. NBC contacted the lawyers office and they confirmed representing him but wouldn't comment beyond that. If they got him approval to stay in this country there would be some formal document from the GOVERNMENT saying that and his lawyer could have provided that instead of a letter from a lawyer, which has no validity in a court of law.

But if I was a "doctor" who made 300k a year and I wanted to stay in this country I'm not sure I'd pick a lawyer who recently graduated law school to represent me. . He may have but I question the scope of that representation. That letter is pretty vague.

It DOES mean there is no documentation corroborating that it DID happen, which is kind of the point of documenting things. So Occams Razor would suggest that if expected documentation doesn't exist the most likely scenario is it was never there.
