This is idiotic. Of course it's a negative. The immigrants aren't vetted, may carry 3rd world country diseases, etc.....The reasons are numerous why ILLEGAL immigration is a negative. Now, one can argue that we should change our LEGAL immigration laws such that more from 3rd world countries get in that way but that's another discussion. But that's the discussion that congress should be having, not how many illegals a day are acceptable which is the current discussion. We are a nation of borders and laws and those should both be respected.

I've never understood the allure of 14'ers. They're very popular here but I just don't get the idea of purposely causing oxygen deprivation to the body. In flying, the legal requirements to use oxygen are if you fly above 12,000 feet or if you fly above 10,000 feet for half an hour continuously to avoid Hypoxia. So I just don't get it. You believe what you want? This is a factual situation. The FACTS say Texas did nothing wrong and the migrants were dead long before the Feds requested access. What a pathetic attitude. Biden already has the authority to close it. Actually, he has an obligation to close it. He not only chooses not to close it, but he took a slightly ajar door at the beginning of his administration and opened it wide open on his first day on the job. So, why would any intelligent individual believe that simply giving him MORE control over closing it would mean he would actually close it? Probably the worst thing about this is some of these deals were ones he promised to our European allies to help them get off of Russian LNG. So he's screwing them over too, and helping Russia finance it's war with Ukraine. But yeah, we're all in on helping Ukraine, right?
