If you truly believe this you should be opposed to Biden dropping out of the race. Something like 14 million people voted for him in primaries to be their candidate. Your premise is incorrect. A DEI hire is not necessarily unqualified and I don't believe that. They might be, or they might not be the best qualified person for the job. I mean, let's be serious, if they were the best qualified they wouldn't need to be a DEI hire. But when someone says they're going to hire someone based upon race, or sex, they're purposely limiting their candidate pool to those groups. As a result, we will never know if they were the best qualified. And we should strive for the best qualified to get jobs. If being a DEI hire is such a great thing, no one should consider being called a DEI hire a slur. The fact that you consider it such just reinforces how much of a crutch it is. DEI hires should be proud of that designation. Unless deep down they know they wouldn't have been picked but for that designation.

So just heard the prepared speech was 3000 words and Trump went 12,000. You can contrast this with a Biden speech which is normally about 280 words and he starts mumbling around word 50 and maybe makes it to word 200.
