How can there be a “two-tiered system of justice” when Senator Menedez is indicted with taking bribes?
Strike replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Guess we'll REALLY see if there are two tiers of Justice. Will they aggressively prosecute Bowman as they did the J6 protestors who were convicted of the same offense? -
House averts shutdown as McCarthy works out deal with Democrats

If you truly haven't heard of Bowman until today you are unqualified to participate in political threads. Might as well say you've never heard of Biden or Trump. Always SOOOOO ignorant. -
House averts shutdown as McCarthy works out deal with Democrats
Strike replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
So McCarthy put out a CR to keep govt open for 45 days. The Dems response was to ask for adjournment until Monday. But yeah it's the Republicans that are the problem. ROFLMAO. -
Biden caught red handed receiving bribes from China

No because as the libs here constantly remind us language changes and evolves, which is why men can be women now. -

Same goes to ALL poor people, regardless of color or immigration status. So what? That's the way the world works . There isn't a country on Earth where a rich person with a supportive family is at a disadvantage to poor people. There will ALWAYS be poor people, at least relative to the rich people around them. Again, so what? All this country promises is opportunity, and we have the most opportunity of any country on Earth. That's the difference between those of us opposed to this type of crap and people such as yourself. We want equality of opportunity, you want equality of outcome. The problem is, equality of outcome = race to the bottom. We should be racing to the top, not the bottom.

I could see Squid thinking that. -

I'm with all the people here who have pointed out that the banks would or should have done their due diligence. I couldn't get a 200k mortgage from a bank without an independent appraisal. Do you think these banks took Trump's word for 100s of millions? -

They weren't harmed. They didn't even know about this alleged valuation inflation. -

Summary judgment isn't a trial. Even Worms will agree with me here. -
New York judge finds Donald Trump liable for fraud
Strike replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
Why? Nothing I've posted ventures outside of my relatively limited understanding of this case. Simply because I havent dug in to it as deeply as I normally do doesn't mean my point that this should go to trial is invalid. If you have an issue with that point feel free to address it. Don't just whine like a b#tch. -

Maybe they weren't given the chance since there was no trial. -

Maybe. I have not researched this case in detail. I know another DA chose not to prosecute but that may have been criminal and I think this is civil. Regardless, there is no way this should be decided by summary judgment. For a lot of reasons Trump is entitled to a trial. -

Ya think? This might be the first lawyerly thing you've ever posted on this bored. -
Close as well. You all have the right idea. Funny how most of our libs avoided this thread like the plague. They're all too busy telling us how white people getting 6% of jobs is not racist I guess. Anyways, the correct answer is Seattle, Portland, SF/Oakland, and New York.
