Honestly, I didn't have to do anything additional to renew my DL the last time around, and when this REAL ID stuff started coming up I googled it and found out mine should already be compliant, and the way you can tell that is by a big star they put on it. And I verified mine had it. So, I didn't do anything different than I have in the past and I have the new ID.

Apparently EG's and mine does not, since he walked up and they didn't ask him for anything. My experience with it has been painless as well.
