@TimHauck See, the above was posted two months before the post you chose to cherry pick. I'm well aware of the terms of this guy's deportation order. So I don't know what the context of your cherry picked post was when I posted that. It's VERY possible this guy's lawyers had gotten a judge to disallow deporting him to a third party country for a short period of time. I don't remember the exact status of the case on 7/25, the day you chose to cherry pick one of my comments. And that's the problem with you. You cherry pick and post stuff out of context months, or even YEARS after the discussion was made. You're disingenuous and can't be trusted to post in good faith. Which is why I don't engage with you seriously very often. What's particularly funny about THIS instance is the following: 1) You had that quote just sitting there. I bet you bookmarked it, not caring about the context, just waiting for the opportunity to try to "gotcha" me. Also, in the past progressives sometimes actually had a point. There was a time when police DID "systemically" discriminate against POC. There was a time when the alphabet people couldn't get married. Etc......But much like racism has gotten to the point where the demand for it exceeds the supply, the progressive causes have gotten to the point where they have to basically make them up to continue to have a reason for existence and we're at the point where they support mutilating children's bodies, putting girls and women at risk when they use the restroom, and complaining about "microaggressions" whatever those are. So at this point conservatives are saying FULL STOP to this BS.

I read an article a number of years ago that talked about this from a slightly different perspective. Things you have to pay for when that extra person works: - Work wardrobe. Especially in a professional environment, the cost for appropriate work attire is not insignificant. - Another car. Many households can get by with one less vehicle, or an older one in place of replacing it as often, if one of the parents doesn't work. - Child care. Most two parent working households have to pay for child care, at least early on. - There are more So the question becomes how much more income does the household actually earn relative to the added expenses for the 2nd working parent? And this doesn't take in to account the advantages of having a parent home with their children during the day.

Here's a tip - Read multiple actual news sites and form your own opinions, and don't worry about what others say online. And avoid gaming chat rooms.

This is why you need to get off Twitter and the like - You can find a vocal group to make any cause look significant. It just feeds confirmation bias, especially for a noted centrist just looking for the truth such as yourself.
