When is the last time you went to the Smithsonian, specifically the history museum? -

Biden was literally the President who wanted to start a ministry of misinformation department, not Trump. -

Your reading comprehension is about as good as Hackboy. Nowhere in those comments does Trump say slavery was good. I am not familiar with the current content of the Smithsonian. Other than the Air and Space museum, I haven't been to any of them in decades so I can't speak to how accurate his statements are. But wanting them to focus on positives and not just negatives about our country seems like a laudable goal to me. We shouldn't ignore slavery but it shouldn't be a disproportionate focus either. -

Or I'm focking with Rusty you idiot. You have the innate ability to NOT know when people are busting balls, which is a trademark of this bored and why you DON'T fit in here. -

You're 100% right. The other 7 conflicts he had a hand in stopping/ending in the last 7 months should already be enough. -
It's not all about how long you work though. It's when you claim SS. So if you can live a few years on savings without SS you can get the max amount. Of course, you can start taking SS early and just give up a bit. It all depends on your finances and is a good reason to save early and often. Take advantage of compounding and give yourself options later in life.

Metal Helmet Tim is constantly on the lookout for that first GOTCHA!!!!!

This is a great post. The bolded in particular. The Dems basically burned their party to the ground and it's still burning.
-
It's crazy. He admitted he was 100% wrong at the time but now he's trying to rewrite the narrative. The SDS is strong in Tim.
-
No, he was absolutely wrong. So reading comprehension is another of your shortcomings. Got it.
-
No, we know for a FACT Billy was wrong, and YOU fell for his fake news. Maybe don't listen to 12 year olds? We don't know whether SBF would have testified because anything can happen, but we know for a FACT that at the time you and I were arguing he was scheduled to testify, and the argument was over that. I was posting links to his actual prepared remarks and newspaper articles confirming he was scheduled to testify and you were arguing with me because Billy told you he wasn't. That stuff is not debatable and at the time you admitted that you were wrong. But because of your SDS you're now trying to change the narrative. You're a disgusting and unserious poster.

The guy who listens to Billy from the gaming chat room is trying to call someone out for falling for fake news??????

There are definitely some movies that SHOULD be better in a theater than in mine, mainly because I only have a 77" screen. But my sound blows away most theaters. We went to see Maverick in an IMAX theater and then saw it at home a couple months later and both agreed it was much better at home. That shouldn't have been the case but makes me hesitant to spend a bunch of money to go watch it in the theater instead of waiting a month or three to just watch it at home. I don't have the need to see movies as soon as they come out like I did when I was younger.
-
Just turned 59 so ain't me.
-
This is me. Takes a special movie to drag me out of my theater and in to theirs.

Schooled on what, GutterBanned? -
Yeah, isn't it obvious? Anyone can make a decent living in the U.S. as long as they are willing to work hard and actually try to achieve something. They may not get rich but they can make a decent living. Now, there are some people who actually have limitations that make that difficult. My childhood friends and I have always worried about one of our friends who is a little slow. Dude has done ok though. He's not rich but has been steadily employed since high school, most just as a driver but he gets by. But it's hard to by sympathetic for people who are able bodied and have a decent mind. This country offers too many opportunities if one is willing to go after them.
-
Currently that's 67, right? Good to know.
-
I think there's a limit to how much you can earn before they start taking some of your SS benefits away, but I'm no expert.

Anyone else gone through a parent losing the end of life

Lost my Dad in 2006. He was a heavy drinker and smoker all his life and it finally caught up to him. Had a series of strokes in the year or so leading up to his death and finally succumbed. It was sad but not unexpected. Lost my Mom in 2018. They found a mass in her lungs. She wouldn't let them do a biopsy but it is assumed it was cancer. We lost my Aunt to lung cancer about 15 years before that. They were both heavy smokers until their 40's. She had gone though the treatment process with her sister so wasn't willing to do that herself, plus she was a lot older. I took a leave of absence from work and stayed with her the last couple months before she passed as her health deteriorated. The good is that it was relatively quick and when it got bad they gave her morphine to help with the pain. The bad is that her brain was as sharp as ever and her body failed her, and it was fairly sudden and I wasn't expecting it so it hit me kind of hard. Sorry to hear you're going through this Megla. -
