They don't have to own the cars I own. They can own a 20 year old Civic. Heck, my 4runner is almost 20 years old and runs as well as the day I bought it. So buy a 20 year old car. Nothing wrong with 20 year old cars and they're much more affordable.

I agree 100%. That's why I learned a marketable skill and make a lot more than that. You'd be one of those low income people had you not had a father hand you a career so I understand why you sympathize so much with them. Oh, and there's nothing preventing them from working that $20/hr job AND learning a skill to earn MORE than that so they can have the lifestyle you so think they deserve. That's the beauty of American. Upward mobility is there for the taking. It's the land of opportunity. If someone is 45 years old and slinging fries at McDonalds because they chose not to seize that opportunity that's unfortunate.
