  1. Musk is a lawyer now? That dude can do anything!!!!
  2. So you're in favor of DOGE?
  3. And in reality, they could probably retrofit an existing vacant building and/or build a temporary one until they can build a permanent one. Musk did that with Tesla: https://arstechnica.com/cars/2018/06/elon-musk-lauds-new-temporary-assembly-tent-as-factory-2-0-awaits/ It's amazing the things Musk has been able to do in his career that Libs believe to be impossible.
  4. Your "autocrat" hyperbole aside, do you think we would be less embarrassed electing someone who hadn't received even one primary vote and in fact had dropped out of the previous Presidential election because she couldn't even win a delegate in her own state? IOW, No process was followed for her to win the nomination. She was simply declared as the candidate. You think that would be LESS embarrassing? At least Trump was duly elected with established process.
  5. This is a good post/point. I just checked a couple of my investment accounts and I got hit as well but the losses are relatively benign in the grand scheme of things. Probably the result of a balanced portfolio amongst other things. I'd be curious how much in losses the chicken little's in this thread have taken on. In some cases, I suspect 0% of 0 is 0.

    Yeah...I'm a bit worried

You're gonna have to show your work, bud. Don't become like @TimHauck trying for gotchas all over the place, especially when you can't back it up. I looked through the last two days of posts in the "Liberation" thread and the only time I used the word winning was regarding an auto manufacturer increasing production in the U.S. due to Trump's tariffs. And no, I wasn't running all over the place even implying it. I wasn't going chicken little either. Apparently to you unless I'm condemning them in no uncertain terms I'm shouting "Winning" from rooftops. And if you are gonna call someone out at least have the courtesy to put @ and their name so they are notified that you're posting about them.

Then start a new thread. But this thread is about real basketball.
  9. Trump made promises when he was campaigning. This was one of them. He's gone full bore on all of his promises. I think most Trump supporters are ok with that. There are some who voted for him maybe more tepidly who may have some concerns but anyone saying he isn't doing EXACTLY what he promised wasn't listening. Why should he NOT fulfill his campaign promises when he's trying to be different than all the politicians who came before him?

Hey Posty, this thread is about REAL basketball. Take this to the Caitlyn Clark thread, the only thread we've ever had about women's basketball that ANYONE here cared about. TIA.
  11. What these chicken little's are ignoring, mostly so they can bash Trump, is that this isn't a "market correction." I would be concerned if it was an actual market correction. But it's not. It's uncertainty because of the Tariffs. Which means as soon as some resolution comes, and it will, the market will move back to where it was. So, unless someone was planning on pulling a bunch of money out of the market RIGHT NOW, this doesn't matter. At this point it's all on paper and will revert back to pre-tariff levels as soon as this issue is resolved. FFS it's been like 2 days and these people are in meltdown mode. They can't be serious with this sh*t. If they are they probably shouldn't be in the stock market anyways.
  12. Just curious who here was planning on selling a bunch of stock this week?
  13. Who cares who finds it? If Biden had combatted waste and fraud I would have applauded him for doing so.
  14. The sad thing is all the people he's whining about probably made their own money while Tim is just a NepoBaby.
  15. It's crazy to me that these people don't give a sh*t about the Billions in waste and fraud and trade imbalances that Trump/Musk are trying to fix but just want to complain about all of it. They're actually OK with all this wasted money. We could do so much to make our country better if we had all the extra money these endeavors should yield. Woudln't it be better for all these politicians to work together instead of continuing to divide? Just blows my mind.
  16. I tend to agree with you but might suggest that instead of the bolded what Trump is doing is defining a NEW normal, with any change to that new normal being initiated by the other parties. Then an even newer normal with different levels of tariffs on both sides could be negotiated. But, if they choose not to negotiate their tariffs down to a level acceptable to Trump, and he keeps the new tariffs just implemented, it would be fair to say he's defining a new normal and not that we should anticipate a return to our current normal.
  17. I posted an article. Feel free to go find it. It's here somewhere. Not my problem you chose not to read it when it was posted. Go dumpster diving my friend.
  18. https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/gm-increase-us-truck-production-following-trumps-tariffs-2025-04-03/ WINNING!!!!
  19. They don't really care. They just look for reasons to whine about Trump.
  20. Yep. I posted an article from a prominent economist on that exact topic yesterday and surprise surprise *CRICKETS* from the libs around here. They don't really want intelligent discussion. They just want to post unsupported drivel and whine about Trump.
