LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs
Strike replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
See, you're wasting valuable hard drive space typing this. The next time you CREATE a THEORY will be the first. You are the biggest regurgitator of OTHER people's theories/work/opinions I've ever known. it is a tip that thinking for yourself if a very liberating activity. You should try it sometime. -

Then those people can sue, right? -
I don't think they had a chance with either candidate. Polls showed people were pissed about immigration and not happy with the economy. Honestly, I'm trying to think of ANYTHING people were satisfied with from the previous administration. And @The Real timschochet, we know you are happy with anything your overlords do so that comment doesn't apply to you. Any chance they might have had hinged on putting up a totally different candidate that had no affiliation with the Biden administration and could demonstrate that they would not be continuing the same policies as Biden's administration. I don't know that they had that person on their bench so I think Trump would have won regardless of who they put out there.

I'd answer it. Wouldn't bother me one bit. Because I am a productive member of the team who can justify my existence ON the team. -
@The Real timschochet is over at Bogleheads right now posting your hyperbole. The reaction over there should be great.

Why do you keep mischaracterizing who sent this e-mail.? OPM is the HR department of the federal government. If I get an e-mail from my HR department I respond to it. If you work for the federal government OPM is your HR. -

I hope your friend follows through and gets canned. Sorry if that sounds callous but if she wants to fock the government of the United States she can go fock herself. And if I were her I wouldn't bet on getting that job back in four years. I have a fairly high level I.T. job and we meet daily for a 15 minute team "scrum" where we discuss what we've been working on, what we ARE working on, and what road blocks we're running in to in achieving those goals. It's really not uncommon. Also, I've heard that this is something Elon has done at other companies of his. It's also called a "heartbeat check' in that it verifies that the person even really exists. If they can't even respond to an e-mail are they even really a productive member of the team to begin wtih? -

So the e-mail came from an official government agency and you were wrong to say otherwise. Got it. -

1) The e-mail came from OPM, which ABSOLUTELY IS a government agency: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/elon-musk-doge-federal-employees-document-work-resign/ 2) My understanding is that DOGE is a commission within the executive branch that was originally created by Barack Obama, and Trump simply renamed it. Which would make it a government agency as well. If you've got something that says differently I'm willing to read it but I don't think you do considering you didn't even know what organization sent this e-mail. -

Maybe if you didn't Peenie 90% of the threads you start people would pay more mind to them. I purposely avoid most of them because I don't want to waste my time posting in them only to find the thread gone shortly after.

I'm calling BS on the 1500 hours for the first officer. To get an ATP license requires 1500 hours. Going to need a little more confirmation beyond an X post before I believe that one.

It's already illegal to hire illegals. It's also illegal to ask for immigration status when renting so that one's out the window. But the point is valid - make it uncomfortable for them to be here and many will self deport. That's a FACT @The Real timschochet refuses to acknowledge.
-
You're the sucker. I don't know if you're just RETARDED or trolling. It's not about how many deportations he does. It's about the net game of how many illegals are here. And the incoming flow has been reduced to a trickle: https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/southwest-land-border-encounters https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/apprehensions-southwestern-border-plummeted-january-cbp/story?id=118908684#:~:text=From Jan. 21 through Jan. 31%2C the number of U.S. Border Patrol apprehensions along the southwest border dropped 85% from the same period in 2024%2C according to data obtained by ABC News. In the 11 days after Jan. 20%2C migrants apprehended at ports of entry declined by 93%. When you combine the reduced number of incoming ILLEGALS with the number of deportations you have a significantly healthier state of the border compared to Biden. And if Trump wasn't having to fight with his own countrymen on deportations the deportation numbers would be higher. And they WILL BE. Oh, they WILL BE. The other things he's doing like going after businesses as noted here, stopping providing lawyers for illegals, etc....., all send the message not to come here illegally. Which is the opposite message Biden was sending.

The next phase has begun. Remember what a disaster the Biden administration was every time there was a disaster during his term? Here is Karen Bass talking about the Trump administration's response to the Fires in Los Angeles: it's so nice having a competent administration in charge. The adults have finally taken over again. -
