I have 4 tickets together for ku bball, and just got my seats today. AU is senior night and likely the second hottest ticket this year to UNC so that won't work, but Arizona State is Wednesday, January 8. If you'd be interested and want to visit KC that week I'd let you have two of the tickets and I'm sure either my son or my wife or a friend and i could join you for dinner before and go to the game. Let me know if interested.

What gives you and Ed the right to try and dictate content of an open forum? Do you know how much enjoyment I've had over the years connecting to other teams because of fandom? I've won hats and shirts, sent hats and shirts, built friendships and made friends based on being a fan, and learning about other fans right here. You two are just being jerks and bullies. I'm just having fun. And who's to say someone didn't appreciate that insightful post about the team. No one is going to come out and say "hey, thanks for that, I'm glad you posted it." Fock no and it's because all anyone ever wants to do is be rude and mean and negative and not lift others up. You two are part of the problem, not me. So much spite here, so much rudeness, so many people being hateful... I'm having fun, enjoying this and all you two want to do is try to make me feel bad about being a fan. I have a very challenging 19 yo daughter. She was in a wreck last night and totaled her car, but herself. The local crime scene page described it as a female occupant, unresponsive, and bleeding. They took her by ambulance to er, charged her with a dwi. Her mom (we're divorced) is kicking her out and not allowing her back in, my wife doesn't want her here and they just about went fistacuffs. My mom doesn't want to take her in because it stresses my mom out and is hard on her. My ex-in laws don't want to deal with it. She's got a personality disorder and won't seek help or treatment. Deflects instead of taking responsibility, and is battling depression and feels very unloved and unwanted. This is hard. I get that's a whole lot of personal info, but I feel isolated and alone and really unsure of what to do or where to go from here. Trying to take things one day at a time, looking for short term solutions with hope that a long term plan will come together to get her the help she needs. Been a rough morning

I talked to a wonderful counselor on Friday who I have all the confidence is the best in this area. There really aren't counseling resources here adequate to serve the need (adolescent, mental illness, marital, et ). Her specialty is adolescent substance abuse but she really isn't practicing in the area anymore but trying to help or connect me with other resources. In talking to her, without me alluding to it she called out issues my wife had with triggered responses to my daughter. And she was right as her daughter's dad is an addict. And thinking through my mom's response to everything, my brother's death which was substance related makes it difficult for her to respond appropriately all the time to my daughter. It's like she doesn't want to admit my daughter has a problem, although my daughter seems to acknowledge it. But my mom and wife are/ were school counselors, but I think the closeness of this makes it challenging. Overall I know this is a difficult situation to navigate, but I'm doing all I can to find the best support and resources to help my daughter out.
