You can really get a sense of people you would likely call friends when you share something like this, and this who are just always going to be crass a-holes that you would never want to associate with in real life. Absolutely agree. MLB.com is still showing Lugo as today's projected starter. I'd expect an announcement soon that says someone else will have a turn.

Also, Quartraro will likely get manager of the year, but I think the real credit goes to J.J. Picollo (started his career as a scout for the Braves in '99 I heard listening on the radio today). Garrett Hampson and Adam Frazier were just meh, but getting Ragans last year and then Wacha and Lugo this year completely turned this team around. Then the moves at the break (DeJong, Erceg) to give them a little bump, then signing Pham and Gurriel after Vinnie went down to keep them in the race is not lost on the fanbase. It's so different than what I've been used to experiencing as a Royals fan in all my life. I've never been so tuned in to other scores because of the position we were in from basically the all-star break.

Holy fock, they actually did it. Congrats to the Tigers fasns, and all the other fans who are going to play in October. This works out well for the Royals, rest your star pitchers and gear up for a Game 1 Lugo, Game 2 Ragans and game 3 wacha series against whoever, just happy we're in.
