    Lamar to flop today

The 2003 Chiefs had probably the best offensive line ever assembled (Willie Roaf, Will Shields, Casey Wiegmann, Brian Waters & John Tait) with Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson running behind it with Tony G. Lost to Peyton Manning. But their D did suck. The 90s Chiefs had some of the best defenses featuring guys Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Dale Carter and Dan Saleameau. Good OL, Marcus Allen. Couldn't ever get it done. I probably started following them around 1991. Between then and Mahomes ('17) that's what 27 years? I count 16 winning seasons, and in all the times they did make the playoffs they had a playoff win in 91, two in '93, and didn't get their next until 2015. From 1991 to 2017 I believe the Chiefs have a playoff record of 4-12. And Mahomes is what, 14-3? I get these guys don't just fall off trees, and he's the exception to the rule. But it isn't like those other Chiefs teams, besides the QB position, were all that much less talented than the teams Mahomes has been leading to the promised land every year.

    Lamar to flop today

@Fumbleweed @TBayXXXVII @nobody I think a couple others I was debating this with... A post I found the month we drafted Mahomes Watching Steve DeBerg, Dave Kreig, Steve Bono, Rich Ganon, Elvis Grbac, Tent Green, Damon Huard, Brodie Croyle, Tyler Thigpen, Matt Cassel, Tyler Palko, Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn, Alex Smith, Nick Foles and Chase Daniel all try, albeit a few with some tremendous teams built around them and never get it done, my opinion has changed to where I think you're continuously looking at the qb position until you have one of the top 7 or so leading your team. My only exceptions to this has been Montana and Moon st the tail end of their careers, who you would probably consider both in the top 7 at the time. Probably Trent as well. I know I'm spoiled. But honestly for the next 10 years or so, everyone is probably chasing the Chiefs

I voted last two because Tay Tay can schedule her appearances around the NFL, like I do.
  10. Also I used to be security for a Congressman. Just me and him and a lot of windshield time in my early 20s. Back in the good old days when members of congress didn't need security, just poorly paid staffers
  11. StL had a great representative, Democrat Lacy Clay. He wasn't liberal enough and didn't do enough for BLM apparently (Clay is black btw) and lost to Cori Bush in the primary. Good for you stl.

    Allegiant Stadium vs SoFi Stadium

Chiefs and 49ers will play in a playoff game at Allegiant before the Raiders will
  13. you're embellishing I had an older brother and younger sister. How much private info are you divulging by saying that?

  16. 20 years ago this May, my only brother passed away. I remember coming here to share the news, and how many of you were there for support and encouragement really made me think of this place different than just an online message board with internet personalities. I was the older brother but we were less than 3 years apart and grew up really, really close. Everyday we were playing outside or doing stuff together, playing with the neighbor kids. And as we got older we were hanging out with mutual friends and always had similar interests around sports and music. I also have a step-brother and a step-sister I'm really close to and definitely consider them my brother and sister, although they've never lived in the same town and I only see them on occasion when I'm traveling or when they come back to visit. Both of them are Broncos fans My dad was also married a couple times before he passed, and both of those marriages came with step-siblings, but I never got real close to any of them. Well, maybe one, but that was before she became my step-sister
  17. Who was the outlier? A zay flowers type?
  18. A Mahomes led team has proven to overcome adversity time and time again. Probably diversity too.
