What might make a difference, is if you take these guys, to s public place in the city and advertise it, end them through execution by firing range and demonstrate that this behavior won't be tolerated. We're too soft and sensitive to do that any more, but a few of those and this might start thinking differently about the way in which they live.

I'm not sure why we think we can boil down all the issues related to gun violence on two partisan lines. Did anyone watch that Netflix thing where the lady was kidnapped and nobody believed her or her boyfriend? Yeah those cops sucked but the reality is our police departments are not resourced enough to deter, prevent, investigate, and provide enough evidence to convict all crime. So you end up with a certain fragment of society that feels like they can take advantage of this and get away with a life of crime. Your gun wielding, guns can save us mentality, or police and policy can save us by restricting gun access in the country neither one will get at the core of the problem described in the previous paragraph.
