  1. It's not hate. It's the Alex Smith versus pat mahomes debate. Nobody in kc hated Smith, he was a fine qb and a tremendous, stand-up dude. He just isn't going to take your team to the next level like a guy like mahomes will. I see Goff more in the Alex Smith mold than the pat mahomes mold. And I don't ever want my team not to have a guy running the show like pat mahomes anymore.
  2. Maybe? I guess for me, to imagine what Mahomes would do with weapons like St. Brown, LaPorta, Reynolds, Gibbs and Montgomery... Goff can certainly prove me wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time I would be. Also, also I think Mahomes sitting a year behind Alex Smith was a huge benefit to his quick success.
  3. Hopefully you Lions are witnessing a shift in how your franchise is run. You'll eventually need a franchise quarterback though. Goff is a guy that might get you there in a random year, but not going to be consistently in the conversation year after year.
  4. I guess that would make more sense. However, it isn't what he quoted

    NCAA Hoops '23-'24

    bout time for a bump
  6. The dude is an idiot. I'm referencing their playoff record, which most assuredly is opponents NOT in their division (for the most part), and he's saying it's because their division sucks. Ok.
  7. Damn I was just looking stuff up, and it looks like 2014 was the last year the Chiefs failed to make the playoffs. They are 13-6 in that span I was 35 in 2014. I think they're like 3-9 the rest of my time as a teen/adult, paying attention to this football team. I'm starting to feel spoiled.
  8. nah we just wait a few months until the chiefs have a new wr room, add some pieces via the draft and head into training camp with a mindset on our 9th consecutive AFC West division title.
  9. who's playing what if? I'm playing when we beat dem Bills
  10. I edited that it wasn't all accurate at first
  11. Lost to the Lions by 1 first game of the year. Ok. Then they go on a nice 6 game run, beat the Jags, bears, Jets (who probably make the playoffs with rodgers), Vikings with cousins, Broncos and chargers with Herbert. That's a good run against good teams. Then they lose a shocker against the Broncos, then rebound nicely against the Fins before the bye week. They then lose to the eagles by 4 (ok), beat the raiders and then lose to the packers who aren't slouches. Another disappointment against the bills, beat the pats and once again letdown against the raiders. Then the Bengals and chargers at the end weren't really contested games. They've been tested, but they are where they are; in a position to win three consecutive games. That's your chiefs season narrated by cmh, but it isn't like it's just been an awful season. Just not up to the standard of the Chiefs the last few years.
  12. McCaffrey a full participant in practice
  13. In 2012 you guys were probably going: P Manning, Rodgers, Wilson, Ryan, Kaeppernick, Flacco, Brady, Schaub
  14. It was Miami in Germany for me because I went to the watch party in kc and they had an amazing brunch and it was a blast. From a football perspective, they didn't play any cupcakes imo. Easiest game was the last week against chargers without herbert but they rested starters. Best performance for them probably was the Miami game. Give me a team with a top 10 defense and pat mahomes any year. It's a recipe for success.
  15. Addition by subtraction
  16. And how come the Browns got so much love, but the No. 2 defense doesn't? https://www.foxsports.com/articles/nfl/2023-nfl-defense-rankings-team-pass-and-rush-stats You guys I'm not so amped up on the offense this year, but I am on the defense. I've been tooting their horn all year, but they still aren't getting the credit they deserve for how far this team has come. The other thing I think KC has going for them this week is health. The ability to rest players week 18, not having the knock-down, drag-out the Bills did with the Steelers, and the number of guys that left the field and never came back for Buffalo. Not to mention all the players they had sit out yesterday. Now they on a short week and the Chiefs are rolling into town. LFG!

  23. Also, I want a 6th in a row AFC Championship at Arrowhead So give me the Texans and Chiefs, please. If that happens I'll have two tickets and likely be headed to the game
  24. I like that the Chiefs seem to be coming in as underdogs
  25. How many teams do you feel have a chance at winning 3 more games? Maybe 6?
