  1. Amazon invests in Bally Sports https://cordcuttersnews.com/amazon-buys-part-of-bally-sports-will-become-the-new-streaming-provider-for-bally-sports-direct-to-consumer-streaming/ I guess as long as I can continue to find ways to waste 3 hours watching a crappy royals team 162 times per year we good.
  2. are you referring to Brady beating up on the sucky Jets, Bills and Dolphins all those years? Or Mahomes now beating up on the Broncos, Chargers and Raiders every year? We go into these years an we don't believe these teams are going to be as bad as they are. The Chargers come out every year with all world aspirations, just ask @JustinCharge. Broncos came out with a stout defense and Russell Wilson was going to save them. And the Raiders fans thought it was them going to take down the Chiefs this year. None of that happened of course, but at the same time they are still having success in the playoffs, which has nothing to do with who they beat up on in the regular season.
  3. I hear ya, but I'm done with washed up and has been QBs. I want the best of the best forever now on my team
  4. Yeah, and he was the first overall pick in the draft. So was Jamarcus Russell. So was Alex Smith. I still think the comparison to Alex Smith is fair. It's not a terrible comparison, both can win but they can't do it on their own in my opinion, like upper echelon QBs can like Brady, and Peyton Manning and now Mahomes. I've been asking myself the last few years, if Mahomes is this generation's Tom Brady, who is the Peyton Manning? Or even Roethlisberger or even Eli? One of these guys I keep feeling is going to compete with Mahomes a lot in meaningful playoff games. Is that Josh Allen? Burrow? A young guy like Stroud or Tua? You can build a super bowl winning team without a top 2 or 3 QB. But what I've witnessed is that if you have a top 2 or 3 QB you will consistently find yourself competing for a conference championship. Jared Goff is fine, if that's what you want. But he's not let's go to six straight conference championships good.

  6. Sunday afternoon seems so damn far away
  7. Pretty good story lines. Starting off with the texans trading Watson to the Browns, and they are the first game. Tyreek's first trip back to Arrowhead. Goff and Stafford switch teams and here they are... The game at Arrowhead is being advertised as possibly the coldest game in NFL history with wind chills at -25 degrees. My son and his buddy are going, they are 16. But there are people basically giving away chiefs tickets because it's going to be miserable.
  8. Meh and Moore are busts
  9. Chiefs designate skyy Moore to return https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/chiefs-designate-skyy-moore-to-return-from-ir
  10. If the bills had a theme song heading into this week...
  11. The bills are beat the fock up. Chiefs only non- participant in practice today was derrick nnadi. Bills on the other hand with 8 listed as DNP. https://www.chiefs.com/news/divisional-playoff-injury-report-chiefs-vs-bills
  12. public poll added. It only gave me the option of having 3 questions so I left off Ravens/ Texans as I assumed most would pick the Ravens anyway. However, I'm going with the Texans

    Music - the great uniter

Thought this was a thread about a song in virginier
  14. Bills fans whine more than chiefs fans
  15. We've spent a lot of time on chiefs bills here. How about a different game? Anyone think the Texans can pull out a win in Baltimore?
  16. I think my opinion has been molded by being dominated by 1 or 2 QBs over the past 30 years in the afc. It was awful. However, it's nice for the tables to have turned and everyone else can suck it for awhile.
  17. KC leads the league in drops. I can't tell you guys how many times this year a third down completion has bounced off our receivers hands and we get off the field and punt. Its a problem. I remember watching preseason with my son in 2017, when he would have been ten. Smith had been taking us to the playoffs, year after year and my son couldn't figure out why we needed a different qb. Then Hill gets deep and Mahomes launches and his him in stride for a 60 yard in the air completion. I'm like Michael, Alex Smith isn't doing that right there. Since then pat has made him a believer. I haven't watched Goff enough to say he don't have it, but there aren't many humans who do have pat's natural abilities and determination to win.
  18. Mahomes doesn't have the weapons he's had in past years. And he doesn't have the weapons that Detroit has. He's still getting the job done though.
  19. It's not hate. It's the Alex Smith versus pat mahomes debate. Nobody in kc hated Smith, he was a fine qb and a tremendous, stand-up dude. He just isn't going to take your team to the next level like a guy like mahomes will. I see Goff more in the Alex Smith mold than the pat mahomes mold. And I don't ever want my team not to have a guy running the show like pat mahomes anymore.
  20. Maybe? I guess for me, to imagine what Mahomes would do with weapons like St. Brown, LaPorta, Reynolds, Gibbs and Montgomery... Goff can certainly prove me wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time I would be. Also, also I think Mahomes sitting a year behind Alex Smith was a huge benefit to his quick success.
  21. Hopefully you Lions are witnessing a shift in how your franchise is run. You'll eventually need a franchise quarterback though. Goff is a guy that might get you there in a random year, but not going to be consistently in the conversation year after year.
  22. I guess that would make more sense. However, it isn't what he quoted

    bout time for a bump
  24. The dude is an idiot. I'm referencing their playoff record, which most assuredly is opponents NOT in their division (for the most part), and he's saying it's because their division sucks. Ok.
