    Trump rigging midterms

don't you think that has to do with the fact that blacks more often vote for democrats than republicans?

that's ok, I'm just trying to comprehend your point and not sure I'm understanding. I think you also have to remember Missouri was a slave state, so when the state was in its infancy not many people of color settled here and I think that influences our demographics (probably whiter than a lot of other states). Emmanuel Cleaver, a black Democrats represents the 5th Congressional District with a demographic of: Race and Ethnicity The 3 largest ethnic groups in Congressional District 5, MO White (Non-Hispanic) 455k ± 2.84k Black or African American (Non-Hispanic) 169k ± 2.03k Two Races Excluding Other, & Three or More Races (Non-Hispanic) 29.2k ± 1.92k

In Missouri i don't know that there's a majority of black voters in any of our congressional districts, even STL. But there is a black member of congress who represents STL

    Trump rigging midterms

I guess I don't mind if it ends up like it probably will, but why not just do it after the 2030 census like it's scheduled to be done. I've seen the inside baseball of this happen when I did work in politics after the 2010 census. There's a lot of back and forth trading as elected officials try to get what they want from redistricting. The process in general feels icky, but how else is it supposed to get done? The reality is at best missouri guess from 6-2 to 7-1 as the district with KC in it now comes into play for the GOP. That's not a huge shift but I guess with tight margins it matters. I guess I liked when the democrats gave the middle class something to vote for, even though I worked on the gop side of things. I got along with democrats and I think in general government functions better when sides have to work together and come together on issues. Even if we still worked to kick their ass in elections.

better luck next year, Royals. Injuries derailed any opportunity for a middle-tier payroll to be anything more than a .500 team.

    2025 NFL Offensive Lines

I'm going to start working on projections, and I base a lot of my projected QB and RB success on the status of O-Lines. Which takes a bunch of time to google for various teams, see what changes have taken place in the offseason, and evaluate where strengths and weaknesses lie. With that said, I've always thought this place was most valuable for the insight you got from locals who knew the most about their team, so I'm asking what you know relative to where your local team's O-Line stands. For KC: Key departures: G Joe Thuney traded to the Bears for a 4th round pick OT DJ Humphries signed with LA Rams in the offseason New arrivals: OT Josh Simmons drafted with the 32nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft OT Jaylon Moore signed in March of 2025 Other Notes: G Trey Smith signed to a 4-year extension in July C Creed Humphrey signed 4-year extension last year Analysis: If you recall in the playoffs, injuries forced the Chiefs to move Thuney a Guard out to play LT as he was their best option. He fared well, although not a prototypical LT, but then that impacted the play of the interior 0-line. The Chiefs wanted to address the Tackle position in the offseason, and I'm a homer but I think they did about as well as they could. Humphrey and Smith I believe are the highest paid players at their respective positions, so the interior of the Chiefs line will remain beefy. Josh Simmons has exceeded expectations, and I've heard the Chiefs expected him to go way earlier than he did and they feel like they found their LT of the future. Something you'd never expect when you're drafting near the 30's in the first round year after year. He's manned the position from the onset in training camp and preseason and really appears to be holding his own. You'd expect to have a learning curb with a rookie playing LT, but we're excited that it won't be Jawaan Taylor lining up offside and jumping early, even if the refs aren't calling it every play This has created sort of a competition at RT with offseason acquisition Jaylon Moore and Jawaan Taylor who is still with the team, which is good for depth and gives the Chiefs some options. Second year guy Kingsley Suamataia is getting the opportunity to be the starting LG, and that's the position with the biggest question mark heading into the season. There's some additional depth and competition specifically at LG, but overall I feel really good about the prospects for the OL going into the year. Not that I expect that much insight, but at least sentiments of whether your team's O-Line will be pretty good or suck in the coming year would be helpful

  24. Too bad @TylerRoseFan nor @Rusty Syrinqes are around or active on this site any longer to validate me Mr. Sippah has his flight and hotel booked, and they both already venmo'd me my cost for their Texans tickets at Arrowhead this December. I probably could have let them slide but getting $90 from them makes me more convinced I shouldn't sell them and maybe they will both show up. I still have one more ticket if @Bert or @Mike FF Today or someone else wants to go with us. I got in this group text somehow with a bunch of guys that just text about their man-crushes on Jose Altuve, the greatest running back ever (apparently) in Earl Campbell, bewbs, and incessant day drinking on beaches. I think Rusty tried to talk @Jetdoc into it but forgot he's a Jets fan, and I'm not sure who else is in the group.
