I think my biggest concerns are around the potential impact for rural areas; hospitals facing the reality of closing/ discontinuing services, and rural grocery stores who depend on revenue from snap benefits to keep their doors open.

Passan's report from today with speculation for teams looking to make some moves in the next month or so https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/45434376/mlb-2025-early-trade-deadline-preview-all-30-teams-jeff-passan-buehler-bichette-gallen

fock @lambert58 I should have pulled the trigger Passan: Weaver (hamstring) could miss 4-6 weeks ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports Luke Weaver underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed a hamstring strain and could miss 4-6 weeks. Advice: Passan adds that the official timetable will be determined prior to Tuesday’s series opener against Cleveland, but Weaver will require a trip to the injured list. The 31-year-old closer suffered the injury while warming up on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium. The clear beneficiary here is Devin Williams, who should take over as New York’s primary closing option while Weaver is sidelined.

Am i rooting for Little Rock or LSU?

This has to be one of the most awesome feelings ever Jac gets the call
-
and it looks like I'll be there on June 10 for his home debut to watch him blast 3 homeruns off your dumb yankees
-
My son bought tickets to the KC game in St. Louis on Tuesday five hours ago as he was already going to be there for a concert. Lucky duck gets to see his MLB debut.

I'm assuming he'll get enough time in RF to become eligible at both positions, but he and Vinnie can go 1B/ DH while Salvy is catching. It's hard to imagine him getting enough time to work as a pitcher, but he's got upper 90s fastball velocity with a decent arsenal of secondary pitches. He'd be a gem in Homers for me if he gets to play pitcher and bat in a few years. Now let's go get that ROY so the Royals can get an early compensatory pick for calling someone up early in their career and winning the award like they did with BWJ

Man, our pitching is setup for a Postseason run, but our offense is putrid

Anybody heading to Omaha?
-
Got that azz to the bench to get a run on the board against a reliever in the 8th
-
Told ya we would get to skubal
-
1 run may be all we need today
-
I'm still realistic, they might win 2-1 or 1-0
-
I doubt it since they only play three games Royals usually suck at hitting lousy pitchers and shell stud pitchers so we should fare well going against mize and skubal Seth Lugo is scheduled to return from the injured list and start Friday so that's good news. I'll say Royals 2-1.

Cags may have been 0-4 last night, but this kid from my hometown is on pace to be the best pitcher ever in the history of major league baseball

Good grief, he is forcing the Royals hand and may not last in Omaha until Tuesday... Jac Caglianone homers in his FOURTH straight game https://x.com/MLBPipeline/status/1926706258863653121?t=SgPNxLuA66UaxiPjkuaaXA&s=19

That's funny, as Vinnie Pasquantino has already become Pasquatch and they have a sasquatch walk out whenever he gets on base.

Jac Caglianone has been promoted to triple a, and I bought tickets for next Tuesday night in Omaha to see his first return to Omaha since playing in the college WS last year (which my son happened to be at). It's about a 2 hr drive but should be fun. I don't think I've been to a Royals game in kc yet and that's only an hour drive I bought two second row tickets and parking right in front of what he'll be standing in the on deck circle for $55 after fees. Too bad going to an mlb game can't be that reasonable

and just happened to time it around having to pay another poster money?
