Took a no-no into the 7th. 5 walks, 1 hit in 6.1 scoreless innings. A nice debut but there really isn't a spot in the rotation so he'll be back in Omaha soon. Still cool to see the hometown fam given a bunch of airtime on the broadcast tonight.

this is pretty darn cool. Cameron played for St. Joseph Central HS, where my son is a senior on the baseball team and making occasional starts in the rotation. A bunch of Noah's close friends and family are making the trip to Tampa to watch him in his big league debut.

He's on a1 year deal, which makes the royals pick make that much more sense. Rice will be coming up on the end of his rookie deal soon, too.

I really like what the Chiefs did. If you keep drafting in the 30's (or even late 20's :8 ) you're never going to land a bookend LT. There's risk seeing in how Simmons comes back from the injury but otherwise he's probably a top 15 pick.
