According to Yahoo Sports' Charles Robinson, two NFL executives believe schedule expansion talks "will intensify" when the annual meeting talks place in Palm Beach, Florida from March 30 to April 2. Those talks will be part of what is expected to be "more assertive efforts" from Goodell and team owners to talk schedule expansion this summer, according to Robinson. The NFL has an option to opt out of many of its current broadcast deals after the 2029 season. The league could theoretically hope to get more money on a new deal if it can promise networks 18-game seasons after the current collective bargaining agreement expires in March 2031.

what problem do you have with the ohtani rule? The Royals believe Michael Lorenzen might be able to hit well enough that they could play him in the OF. There's some interesting strategy that could be had if you can move a guy between an OF and P position if you find a guy competent enough who can handle it. I think one guy should only count for one guy on a 26 man roster Maybe I'm not understanding it right. Do you not like that he can continue to DH in a lineup after being removed as a pitcher?

pfffftttt, the Royals improved in the offseason by adding a true leadoff guy in India which moves some lesser offensive players to the bench more often. Also really ramped up the bullpen which was one of the biggest weaknesses last year. If (and I get it's a big if) Witt and Vinnie and Salvy stay healthy, I could see the Royals improving on their win total from a year ago (which shocked just about everyone). I really like what the new front office and manager is doing for this team. White Sox do sux tho.

I expect Jonathan India to obtain 3B eligibility fairly quickly, and I wouldn't be surprised if Maikel Garcia winds up with OF eligibility within the first couple weeks of the season. That'll be nice to have some added flexibility with some players. 1B eligible I have: * Salvy (C) * Pasquantino * O'Hearn (OF) *Santana *Canha (OF) Each of those guys except Canha should be an everyday starter with occassional days off, but it doesn't do me much good when they are sitting on my
