Yeah the norm seems to be spending about $1k to get a family of four to any outing, be it sports, concerts, amusement parks or whatever. It's kind of sad how much it cost just to have those experiences with family and friends. It's why I've started investing in season tickets. What's nice is being able to offer up experience to friends and family for very reasonable prices, which will be even easier next year when my Chiefs prices are cut in about half. On that note, @jerryskids -you still have the opportunity to take advantage of two free tickets to the best basketball experience in the world on january 8 if you want them

Salvador Perez is not Mike Piazza. But give him two more decent seasons and he should end up with stats similar to a Gary Carter. I stated the question because of Salvy, but you guys might listen to the question better had I left a Royals player's name out. What are there, 18 catchers in the HOF? Most, the typical common fan wouldn't even recognize the names of. Pudge, Piazza and Mauer are probably the only players most people today can remember playing the game. That feels light, and I was just asking is it because they don't get the recognition they deserve or because there aren't that many catchers deserving of the honor?

did I just learn a thing today in that there's a different way to watch the game in Prime? Am I the only dumass who didn't know this?

there were plenty who thought his resume wasn't enough to warrant getting in. I'm not asking as much about Salvy in particular, just if the criteria for catchers is more prohibitive than it should be.

Do catchers get the shaft? Since the HOF is timely I'm monitoring some discussion on if Salvy would go when he's eligible, but it seems like there are a bunch of noteworthy catchers who don't make the cut. Just cutting and pasting some of the back and forth:

Let's get this one going early, cuz it's gonna be lit Starting out with what should be a great game in Philly vs Washington. On Thursday. Baltimore and Pittsburgh should also be a lot of fun. Then you have some matchups with meddling teams trying to make the playoffs in some interesting matchups like GB/Chi, atl/den, and sea/SF. But the biggest is your 3:25 highlighted game for CBS. The gameday crew will actually be on-site in Orchard Park from what I've heard, which is unique for a matchup this early in the season. And even though the Chiefs have often got the better of this matchup, these Allen/ Mahomes games have become a really great rivalry. Also could very well be a preview of the AFC Championship game. It's going to be a long week waiting on this one

what's his expected return? Chiefs have really had a lot of injury trouble this year with Rice, Brown, Pacheco, Butker, Watson and a couple others. It's amazing they were able to remain undefeated as long as they were and would be nice to get some of those guys back and healthy in time for the playoffs.
