I was at a meeting on Thursday with HR professionals, and several of the manufacturers in town have said they have slowed down hiring. A meat processing facility is currently overstaffed and and they've slowed their recruiting efforts, and the a couple other large manufacturers have said they are being more selective in their hiring, and rather than just filling positions with warm bodies are looking at things like work history, communication skills, etc. Definitely different than the trend of the last couple years where everybody was looking for workers.

@BlackClouds will appreciate this one... Thursday would have been my brother's 43rd birthday (been gone 20 years now) He loved music and some of his favorite bands were widespread, SCI, etc. This Thursday, String Cheese Incident is playing at the Midland in KC and I'm taking my mom. She's in for a treat and I'm definitely looking forward to it

we're not doing ourselves any favors with the opportunity presenting itself. Really missing Vinnie and the bullpen is struggling.

But it's also ironic that he's calling me out about KC crap, when you can't find crap about KC other than the MLB thread or maybe going back to the opening chiefs/ ravens game thread. I guess people just get bitter when your city has the best and most visible athlete going in both major sports
