I've got the Carr / Leinart dilemma as well - right now I've got Carr starting because I started Leinart last week and got burned, while Carr got good stats. This is a TOUGH one - Carr @ Tenn could be huge, but don't know esp with Titans coming off a bye, but Houston coming off a win agnst JAX. Then again, Harrington put 414 yds on the Packers last week, so Leinart could be huge. The real edge (no pun intended) is that ARI running game / OL is worse than HOU running game / OL with Wali.... then again, I have ONE game to compare against for Wali... Right now, Carr is starting, but this will keep me bothered until game time...
-
I'd go Vick - depending on your scoring system, he's been a gold mine every week except for the NO game. In our league, we don't penalize for INTs, and we get 1/10 on rushing, so I say go with Vick unless you have a reason not to (bye, injury, etc). Re: leinart - hard to say. Going up against a soft GB secondary. My dilemma is I need to start TWO QBs - Vick is one, the other is Leinart @GB or Carr (@ Tenn). Leaning toward Carr because of the experience, but Leinart could be huge against GB....

Both are playing somewhat soft secondaries, though Carr has more experience. Problem is both are "Boom or bust" - hard to predict what will happen. Help is appreciated.

*** Official "I need on MNF to win this week"
joeunleaded replied to Captain Goomy Noomy Roo's topic in FFToday Board
I'm ahead by 12, and I've got Tiki going tonight. He's got Vanderjagt and Dallas D... Nice to see a Dal shutout, where NYG run out the clock... -
Leaning toward J Lewis, but his yards have been sucky, and he's up against a staunch DEN defense... Leinart is new this week at KC, and Jones-Drew is behind F Taylor, but at NYJ. At least J Lewis is a starter... Thoughts?

FLEX help: J Lewis, Jones-Drew, or Leinart?
joeunleaded replied to joeunleaded's topic in A Little Help!
The scoring works like this: 1pt / 10 yds Receiving 1pt / 10 yds Rushing 1 pt / 30 yds passing TDs can be 3, 4, or 6 points depending on how far out the TD comes from. So QB's getting touches CAN get huge points, but if an RB has a decent day (50 - 60 yds, 1 TD), it would be better. Plus Jones-Drew has had good scoring weeks, especially in receiving... -
Definitely not Frye. Grossman's due for a bad week, so I'd stay away. Farve's your man this week.

I've got the same dilemma, but I'm going with C Taylor vs DET. Ronnie just doesn't have much else around him to take the pressure off. Mine - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=241591

These are listed by points they've scored overall thus far. Homer input especially needed... We don't get pegged for a lot of Points allowed, we score on DEF events (DFR, Sacks, Ints, DTDs) - they can allow 1,000 pts, no bother. Jets vs IND - ok in weeks 1 and 2, then went nuts on BUF - think IND may not have that many problems Packers @PHI - had a couple of good weeks, but PHI doesn't usually do things wrong on OFF Rams vs DET 49ers @KC - Does Huard still playing @ QB for KC matter? I figure KC will run all day long. Cardinals @ATL Lions @STL - showed some promise, plus Bulger having issues Titans vs DAL Vikings @BUF - Jets scorched BUF last week Falcons vs ARI Browns @OAK - OMG, vs OAK??!!! Or is this the week that OAK breaks out of the funk? Texans vs MIA - Culpepper has been sacked a lot, and HOU has a decent line... Raider vs CLE In a quandry! Your help is appreciated!!! (leave your link - glad to help.)
-
I agree with ATL - in fact they were dropped this week because they looked HORRIBLE on MNF. What about MIN @ BUF? DEFs tend to do well against the Bills thus far...
-
I'd go Fred Taylor here as well - so far no injury, but looking good.
-
Fugly. I'd have to agree with Green - the other two just aren't cutting it. If you feel lucky, maybe LaMont Jordon - they are going up against CLE this week, a soft def. If you can gamble, go with Jordon. To be safe, go with Green. Thanks.
-
I'd definitely do this - I have / hate Vick - like a box of chocolates. Once CAR gets their act together with Smith and the running game, Delhomme will be great. Thanks.

Lee Suggs is now the Dolphins' No. 2 running back. Coach Nick Saban says Suggs will be Miami's featured back every third series, similar to how Ricky Williams was used last season. He doesn't figure to steal any of Ronnie Brown's goal-line carries. Sep. 16 - 12:35 am et With Suggs in, will we see R Brown yds / TDs decrease? C Taylor seems to be the ONLY RB in Min worth running (Moore?)
-
I'd go R BRown vs Bills. Not sure if STL's week 1 was a fluke or not, but I'd test it out this week first... Thanks.
-
I owned brown as a no 4 RB and he was a waste against the JETS! Agree to drop the idea - your team rocks. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233641
-
I'd go steelers - had and dropped JAX def. They are good on low PA, but not on DEF events (which my league rewards). Mine - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233641 Thanks.

R. Brown for V. Davis, Chambers? will answer yours
joeunleaded replied to kellyaucoin's topic in A Little Help!
Duce and Davis for Brown and Smith - Brown is a stud IMHO. Mine - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233641 -
Disagree - McGahee is going up against a tough MIA def. Sure Mahoney is sharing, but both he and Dillon put up good numbers last week. I'd go with the rookie. Mine - http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233641

http://www.fftoday.com/rankings/playerwkpr...&LeagueID=1 RuYard/TD/Rec/RecYard/TD C Taylor 85 1 3 25 0 T Barber 80 0 4 35 0 Do you agree with this? FFToday also has C Taylor as being the top 6th RB producing this week, and Tiki is 22nd! Behind Maroney and D Rhodes! I don't think I'll swap C Taylor over Tiki or Ronnie Brown, but need to get some feedback here! THanks - leave your link.

So is Betts a valuable pickup for RB 3 in Week 2?
-
I can't believe I'm saying this, but what can we expect from Crystal Brown yds / tds? 85 / 1? This is against a stout SD in San Diego.
-
Time will tell, but I'm not so sure Portis will play. So if he DOES play, Gibbs was straight out lying? Doesn't seem like Gibbs to me, but like I said, time will tell.

STL HOMERS - Is the RAMS DST that good (based on Week 1)?
joeunleaded posted a topic in FFToday Board
Don't know what to make of STL Def - looking at the stats its impressive 3 Ints 4 Sacks 2 FF 2 DFR Did the RAMS display this in the Preseason? Was there a lot of work done to the def in the off season? More importantly - will this last? With Bulger, Holt, and Jackson, plus the DEF, I need to rethink STL! Besides, Den has a decent QB, some solid receivers and rushers, decent DEF - why else did they get drummed? -
Ripple effect...if Portis injury keeps him out
joeunleaded replied to football_scooter's topic in FFToday Board
So Master, where does Betts fit in now? Grouped in with all the RBBC RBs?
