Giants tell Droughns he'll split time with Jacobs
jedeye replied to hines86rules's topic in FFToday Board
I agree with JoeBoxers. Dont lump Jacobs in with other big men just because of his height. -
I would love to see him end up in Cleveland so he can stick it to the Steelers twice a year. I dont think it will happen, however. He will ask for too much $.

Atlanta Falcons may trade for #2 pick from Detroit
jedeye replied to Gepetto's topic in FFToday Board
Well, we now know that Dunn will not be involved if there is any type of trade. The Lions acquired Tatum Bell today in a trade w/ Denver. The trade could still happen, but now other players (and more likely draft picks) would be the offer. -
I hate to say this after Mack 1's post, but I think there is a good chance he ends up in Cleveland. They were very interested in him last year. Additionally, I dont think they want to draft a QB with a high pick. I can foresee a scenario in which Harrington is brought into Cleveland to compete with Frye for the starting position. At the same time, they may target QB Troy Smith in the draft. Smith's stock is falling, and in my mind, thats a good thing. I'd be happy to get him with a 4th round pick and let him ride the pine for at least a year.

I wont get into what the Brown need (cuz God knows they need eveything), but this coin flip could end up being a big deal. It is as close to a lock as you get in the NFL that Tampa would like to get CJ. Thankfully for the Browns, alot of other teams would like to get him also, opening the door for the Browns to trade down. I REALLY hope this happens. They have so many needs that even if they trade down with the hopes that they still get AD a few picks later and someone else trades up and snags him away, they still will get an impact player. Obviously, we wont know until there are about 30 seconds left on the clock as Cleveland listens to every possible scenario.

Boldest Predictions for the Offseason and Next Season...
jedeye replied to famousb's topic in FFToday Board
I think Foster would be a good fit in a 2-back system with Jacobs for the Giants. -
I offered the trade, he pulled the trigger

Please change your name to "TheAmateur" right now. -
I must agree. It looks like Houston traded away their best back. Morency looked very good especially considering he has not had much time in with GB. Leads me to believe that there may have been other issues then talent when Houston traded him away.

I was under the impression that Yahoo leagues have a review period for trades. Did the trade really go through immediately? If yes, you may want to change that policy.
-
This must be a dynasty or keeper league, right? How else could you get Westy, Caddy, and LJ in a 14 team league. But to answer your question, yes, do it.

Sadly, as a Browns fan, I fear he may be right. Just like last year when the Texans got their 1st win of the year against Cleveland. Sigh...

Newbie Needs advice, QB Brady or Delhomme also RB
jedeye replied to N.O. Sinner's topic in A Little Help!
Welcome to the boards! 1st, go with Brady. The guy is amazingly consistent. After his comments last wek about Branch not being there, I think he will try to prove to himself that he will be OK without Branch. 2nd, I'm going to recommend that you go with Green over Droughns. Im a Cleveland homer and have watched them alot. Droughns is not the problem, its the O-line. They CANT open holes for him. Ahman will be the focal point again this week as the try to settle Farve down. -
May surprise you, but I say Bruce as well. GB's # 1 corner usually does a good job on the opposing team's #1 WR. And I like Bruce against SF in what I think will be a shoot out.
-
Are penalized for INTs? If yes, go with Jake. If not, go with Alex.
-
Obviously, they all have tough matchups, but I tend to agree with Freddy T. Both teams will try to control the clock which means alot of running. I dont think Jax will be effective running the ball, but Freddy will get plenty of opportunities, and thats what you want to see.

Is it safe to drop Dom Davis in a dynasty format, or will he have some future value? He's greatly talented (I think), but I'm not sure he will ever play again. I would be dropping him for Dayne. Yes, I know most are not high on Dayne, but at least he will see the field this year. Thanks.

Just thought of 1 more option for ya. Bush/Ward for KJ/CJ/and his #1 draft pick next year. I dont know if you allowed to trade future picks or not, as some leagues wont allow it. But if you can, then you can go for a rookie RB with potential. Just wanted to throw out another option for you. Good luck.
-
Dont overthink it, booya. You've got it right.
-
Now youre just trying to make me think harder, but its obvious he wants Bush pretty bad, and I can understand why. I like KJ/CJ, but I think I like Lewis/Fitz/CJ a little better. Again, who are his other RBs (besides Lewis and KJ)
-
Do not drop Big Ben. Never underestimate a player who feels he has something to prove. Yes, drop Bironas for Gould.

C. Taylor vs. Car, Gore vs. STL, Edge @ SEA, Julious Jones vs WAS
jedeye replied to BIGPLAYER06's topic in A Little Help!
1st who to start this week. I like Taylor. Childress obviously didnt lie when he said Taylor was his feature back. 2nd, the trade. I like this trade for you. Im much higher on Chambers then AJ, regardless of last week's game. Also you dont lose alot at RB. But is there anyone other then Vernon Davis you could get? -
Until proven otherwise, TJ is also a stud. Therefore you can start him and not have to worry about "benching your studs."
-
Definately James. But keep Addai stashed if you can, as he may become more valuable in the second half of the season.
-
Youre hurting at RB. How about this...Try Bush/Ward/Horn for Lewis/Fitz/CJ/and another RB with potential that he might have. Who are his RBs? Anyone with future potential?
-
Brady is easily the SAFEST play. You know he wont dissappoint too much even if he has a bad game. That being said, I'd go with Bledsoe this week. Remember the 3rd preseason game when he came out trying to silence all those who said Romo could be the man? Well, look for a similar performance this week as he tries to silence the critics again.
