    Trust in Tolbert?

Watch for any reports about a setback for Mathews. If there arent any, I'd be leery of starting Tolbert. It is my belief that the Chargers want Mathews to be the man. Assuming no setbacks, I think Mathews wil see a larger share of the carries this week.

    Tolbert vs Mathews

I believe it may have something to do with building Mathews confidence. I read things about him getting flustered when he makes mistakes. I think his ankle was a factor, of course, but not the only issue.

    Lynch or Torain

My guess (and I emphasize GUESS) is that Torain is the better pickup. Shanahan loves Torain, and while I know that he also loves Portis, Portis has a groin injury. That is not an easy injury to come back from. And there was talk about Torain taking over even before this past weekend. I think now is the oportunity that Torain needs to assert himself and take over as the primary back for the rest of the season (assuming he can stay healthy.)

    Ahmad Bradshaw vs Bears Outlook

Are you concerned about Mathews ankle? I ask because my choice is between Bradshaw and Mathews. I like the matchup for Mathews, but I am concerned about him coming back so early from an injury many had projected to hold him out for up to 4 weeks.

    Any truth to the rumors......

Ive seen that the Bills would ask for either AJ Hawk or a starting O-lineman. There is no way that the Pack will give up either. Green Bay also covets their draft picks. I dont see this happening unless a lesser player or a late-round (5th?) pick is the deal.

    Brandon Jackson

Jackson is actually considered to be an excellent receiver. Id be more worried about Kuhn taking the carries in "garbage time" if that occurs.

Forsett handling KR and starting RB duties?

Im almost certain that Leon Washington has been designated the KR guy.

Kyle Orton. This guy could become a legit #1 Qb

I don't think he meant to say THE #1 QB overall, but rather that Orton can be a teams #1 QB at a very good value.

    Derek Anderson

I've been playing close attention to this situation both as an Anderson owner and a Browns fan. I've watched the preseason games and been to numerous practices. Take it from me, the only way Quinn replaces Anderson is by way of injury. Quinn is not ready. He seems to get flustered rather easily. I like how murf74 referred to him as "Captain Checkdown." Its absolutely true. Quinn seems afraid to go down the field. Most of his passes go for 5 yards at best. Now, it pains me to say these things as a Browns fan because I truly want Quinn to step up and be the QB they drafted him to be, but he's just not there yet.

Where is the QB value in this draft?

Not to go off topic too much, but I think threads like this one show how a 2-QB league can really add value to the QB position and make drafting much more strategic. And to clarify things, I referring to 10 team (or less) leagues.

Where is the QB value in this draft?

Fitz & Boldin...and therein lies tremendous value at QB. Get both Leinart and Warner.

    Pierre Thomas

The situation w/ McAllister reminds me of Dom Davis (or whatever name he was using at the time) with the Texans a few years back. The pain was just too much for him and he was never able to get back on the field again. Additionally, it seems that they like Thomas enough that they were able to let go of Pittman last year after using a draft pick to bring him in. Definately something to keep an eye on.

    Here's a team for Favre...

I doubt he would play for another team. But, remember, the rumors are that he asked for a release from the Pack. Why else would he ask for a release if not to play for someone else?

    Here's a team for Favre...

Favre is not in control of this situation. The Green Bay staff is. I don't think that they want Favre to play for them this year. They want to move on from that and give Rodgers his chance. They believe in him. Therefore, for Favre to play, he'll need to be released or traded. There is no way in Hell that they release him. He may end up with a division rival like the Vikes. They just won't let that happen. They could trade him. But how many teams would be a good fit? It would have to be a team that Favre thinks would be a contender, and it would have to be a team that needs a starting QB. Also, remember that team would have to give up something to get Favre, so it would have to be a team that thinks they are a QB away from winning this year. I just don't see that situation anywhere around the NFL right now. Maybe the Jets (like one guy said.) Or maybe a contending team has there starting QB go down to injury in training camp. Other than that, I don't think we're going to see Favre play again.

2008-- NFL's worst team will be...

Yep, thats what I meant to say. Sorry.

2008-- NFL's worst team will be...

Not to pile on Oakland, but I think it will stay this way for awhile. I say this because I think Al Davis wont be able to pass on McFadden. He will then demand a huge contract likely leading to a holdout. RB is not the need for the Raiders, and the result will be salary cap Hell for years to come (unless there is no agreement with the NFLPA, in which case there may not be a salary cap - but that is for another discussion)

2008-- NFL's worst team will be...

I think the Vikes are a lock to make the playoffs, and are my darkhorse candidate for the Superbowl. And I'm not a Vikes fan.

What's your opinion on this situation

I think we need to know one thing first...was this the first or second playoff game for your league? If it was the first, then falling back on the regular season tiebreakers does no good. However, if it was the 2nd playoff game, then you CAN (and should) fall back on the regular season system. Add the total score combined from both playoff games and declare a winner.

Brandon Jacobs out until week 14

How long did they say Eli was going to be out when he had a shoulder injury? 4 weeks? How many games did he miss? Now, I dont have any inside info on this topic, but the point is that maybe we should wait for some more info before we jump the gun.

    Selvin Who?

I'd have to agree that any league without a ww system is a joke. Yes, fantasy football players should be NFL fans. Lets say you go to the game that day. Should you be punished for not being able to sit near your computer just in case an injury takes place? Thats just crazy.

    Braylon is a beast

So good to finally see something good happening for the Browns. I'm not gonna go overboard and say they are making the playoffs (cuz I dont believe they will), but just to have a winning record at some point in the season feels really good.

    Derek Anderson

This situation reminds me of the Bengals a few years back when Kitna was having a great season and Palmer was n the bench. This is ideal for the Browns and fantasy owners alike. As long as Anderson is not losing games for the Browns, he'll stay the starter. And keep in mind that he may be auditioning for a job with a new team next year, so he has every reason to keep playing at a high level.

    A BOLD prediction!

Three things to change and/or add... Clevelend is not the worst DEF in the NFL. Teddy Ginn grew up in Cleveland. This is more relevant then him being an Ohio State alum. You said he has something to prove to Cleveland. I'm just not seeing that. It's not like Cleveland passed on him. If anything, Quinn has something to prove to Miami. Its Miami that passed on Quinn.
