Did you guys know there will be an eclipse today?

One part that interests me is that the size of the moon and distance it is from the earth and sun makes it so that when they line up they are almost the exact same size perspectively. Almost makes u wonder if that is a complete coincidence or if somehow this came about for a reason. Just my 2 cents
