What is a suitable deal to offer for Addai?
ajmplaya69 replied to Vanillarainstorm's topic in FFToday Board
I'm an 0-2 addai owner but have depth (chris johnson, r.bush, mcfadden) in a ppr league so i will sell low along with a 3rd tier wr in return for a stud WR (eg. t.o., fitz, etc). -
Bush has been a PPR stud the past two seasons. However, against the Bucs he has performed mediocre at best. Would you consider sitting him for say a McFadden or similar type RB or is he in the class of always must start in PPR?

bush's blog huh. still don't know about the matchup against tampa though.

Trying to guage the man love level for Holmes on this board
ajmplaya69 replied to robertd52's topic in FFToday Board
-2nd year in Arians spead offense -3rd year in league -his totals were based on only 13 games I drafted him as my #2 WR and think he is a bet to finish top 20 with the upside of a top 10 finish. -
true you never know where as with bush you know you're gonna get 5 catches a game.
-
I agree above in taking a top 5 pick and then using the 4th rd. on a high risk/reward rookie rb as ur#2 rb. Rds.2-3 in ppr leagues can be used on wrs. U could then use rd. 5 to be safe with edge, turner, etc

nice call

Bumping this up. A 3rd pick getting 6 catches for 60 yds in his first action is money in PPR leagues. Good matchup this week too.

Get ready for the rollercoaster, Travis Henry news tomorrow
ajmplaya69 replied to jgcrawfish's topic in FFToday Board
I hope Travis Henry dies. This is too damn long to wait. -
Seriously Kevin Jones or Selvin Young I have to know by Thursday too!! I'm assuming he is fine since he came back in.
-
Ya I took him in the ninth rd in a ppr league ahead of Winslow. Just picked up owen daniels and sitting vernon on the bench. He literally cost me my week one loss (1 point).

The same people dissing Pepper right now were dissing Lamont in the off season. I feel Curry can be used as a goodwr3 in the right matchup and the Raiders have SOME fantasy starters on the horizon. Pepper lost a lot more than Moss the year he sucked in Minny and he clearly came back too damn fast in Miami thanks to Nick Saban. The reason he isn't starting yet is his lack of knowledge of the playbook. I woudn't be surprised if he wins comeback player of the year this season based upon his talent alone. I watched every preseason game of his and honestly looks quite mobile and accurate. Preseason only tells but the raiders played inspired football last week (loss can be pointed to poor turnovers by McCown and 3 missed FG's by Seabass). The line is vastly improved (see last week), Lamont is healthy, Curry and Porter are viable wideouts and he has a young creative mind directing this offense. Jamarcus will NOT play at all this year and McCown is a talented athlete but a mediocre qb at best. And I know Denver is feared thanks to bly and bailey, but don't be surprised if the game is closer with Cpepper starting.

I'm considering trading Marion Barber in a PPR league for Caddy now. I have Alexander and Edge as my starting 2 RB's but since they both have the same bye weeks (8) as Barber, I feel I should unload Barber for an equal back. Caddy started off the game pretty strong (12 carries for 60 yards) and has a pretty soft schedule to run against. What do you guys think?
-
Just traded MB for Caddy. We'll see what happens.
-
Exactly I drafted Barber early 8th round while the guy in our league had Caddy early 5th. Hence, the buy low. I know Barber scores TD's which is nice but the week I feel I will need him is during my starting two RBs (edge and shauns) bye weeks (8). Caddy solves that while Barber doesn't.

It looks like Caddilac's injury is not very serious. Their line is vastly improved from last season and with Garcia at the helm, I think Caddy should get more love. He is thy starting RB of his team unlike Barber. While I agree Barber is more talented, the Week 8 bye issue is one that peeps are forgetting in this situation. http://blogs.tampabay.com/bucs/2007/09/cadillac-says-h.html ""It was a tough blow,'' Williams said. ""Initially, my thought laying on the ground was, "Oh, man, I've broken my ribs. Once we got x-rays and they said everything looked good, I was just relieved to hear that.'' Williams said he had difficulty breathing and sleeping Sunday and Monday and struggled to get out of bed. But after receiving treatment, some of that pain has subsided. ""Monday morning, it was like I could barely breath or cough or make a certain movement,'' Williams said. ""So today is Wednesday and I can cough without things hurting. Today is Wednesday and we play on Sunday, so that's a positive to me.''

Well Caddy was drafted in Round 5 in our league while Marion was taken by yours truly in round 8, hence the buy low theory. I'm not sure what kind of league would have caddy on waivers. Two years ago, he was rookie of the year with 1100 yards and 6 TD's. Also, to just suck it up and lose one week (with Shaun and Edge and Marion on Week 8 byes), is a pretty controversial debate in itself.

Rib injuries can't be too bad??

Does anyone think he might have a solid year? Gruden does wonders with veteran QBs (gannon, brad johnson). Seattles secondary is a bit shaky and TB might implement some of the shotgun. whats your take on him this week at seattle and for the season? Boston, Galloway, Stovall, bounce back year for cadillac, improved oline (L.Pettigout)......
-
He burnt me last year and most owners have that same tendency. However, this year I've taken him again as my WR3. Lets see what happens.

Interesting article possibly downgrading Caddy this year. Has anyone heard about him not being used in goal line situations? Christian Peterson: Before training camps began, Michael Pittman was little more than a third-down back on a team with a former fifth overall draft pick as the starter and a legendary goal line vulture in Mike Alstott. Then, Alstott was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve, and Pittman has become a serious sleeper, especially in PPR leagues. Despite not starting either of the Bucs' first two exhibition games, Pittman has stood out as the team's best alternative at fullback so far. Of Pittman's work in that role, head coach Jon Gruden told the team's official website, "He's making a case right now for 'why haven't I been playing fullback earlier.' He's built for the position, certainly, and he's a willing participant. He's a contact player, and he's going to really help us." So, here we have a player who has averaged 53 catches out of the backfield per season for the last seven years, who has run for over four yards per carry each of the last four years, and who is the clear front-runner in the race to take over Alstott's role as the ball carrier at the goal line (Gruden's desire is to keep the ill-suited Cadillac out of that role). Furthermore, in a typical 50-50 PPR league last year, Pittman scored 85.5 fantasy points while scoring just one touchdown. Williams, who is regularly being drafted as high as the fourth round these days, scored 85.7 points as the "workhorse." All Pittman needs is a small piece of the now 100 percent Alstott-free touchdown pie to become an extremely valuable bye week fill-in, if not more. As a reference point, with just five touchdowns tacked onto last year's stat line (245 rushing yards, 47 catches, 405 yards), Pittman would have ranked as the No. 26 running back in the aforementioned 50-50 PPR league. http://www.fanballnews.com/article.php?article_id=10374

Anyone else think Caddy has top 10 potential this season ?

I think so too pending on ADP.
