I rarely bet, but just had this gut feeling that Dallas would not only cover, but would win the game. As such, I dropped a little money on Bovada, and also picked them in the work pick-em pool. Ended up being the only guy in the 20ish person pool to pick them. Dont know why I felt so strongly about this game, as I generally hate the Cowboys and would usually never bet on them, since it would force me to root for them.

Hope hes doing ok. As someone who has struggled with substance abuse and depression/anxiety off and on throughout my life, I want all of you to know that you can reach out to me in private, if anyone ever needs someone to talk to. After 15 years here, you dudes are like a dysfunctional extended family to me. I used to keep everything inside, out of fear of coming off as weak or whatever, but Ive since realized that its both empowering and therapeutic to talk about my struggles openly. .

The trade is not unfair/collusive. Unfortunately, as a commish, you're held to a higher standard. And that's where this trade gets fishy. You really shouldn't let people out of contention trade, and definitely shouldn't be the guy initiating them.

I'd just be speculating on what their agenda is. But former asylum seekers/immigrants winning elections is part of the American dream, so that's pretty cool. Obviously this whole subject is very complex and touchy. By no fault of our own, we (Americans) were born in the greatest nation on the planet. We just lucked into this life that affords us opportunities many people will never have. So, I don't fault these people for wanting to come here. I'd want to come here too, if I lived in some poor 3rd world country. The human part of me wants these people to have the same opportunities that we do. Unfortunately, it's just not possible and even the vetting process is difficult, when there's clearly a criminal element mixed in with these people, many of whom have valid asylum claims. At the end of the day, change is going to have to happen in their countries of origin. I don't pretend to know all the answers. It's just an all around sad situation.

My issue with the tear gas vs. pepper spray is tear gas is less discriminate, and a lot of these people have young children with them. But, they shouldn't have tried to illegally bum rush the border to begin with, so it is what it is I guess.
