  1. Am I the only one who found it a bit corny? All the references with Vito (Joseph R. Gannascolia) and Celebrity Fit Club. All the little corny one liners and product placement. I dunno, i'm a diehard Sopranos fan through and through but this premiere just seemed a bit cheesy to me.

Big Love was awesome though. Chloë Sevigny is so hot.

  2. Jamal Lewis is officially going to visit with Denver on Monday.

I'd be surprised if he signed in Denver. I think he really believe he can get a long term deal somehwere and I dont think Denver (or Indy) are going to offer him that. I could be wrong though... would be the first time.

    :shocking:

  3. 23-25 carries a game in coachspeak means 15 carries a game. When a guy is really going to get 20-25 carries a game, the coaches at least say 30 carries per game.

I agree. If anything I think this helps Fitz and Boldin. Having a back out the backfield who can catch like Edge is gonna keep D's honest and allow alot of 1on1's for the WR's. I think Edge takes a hit but Warner and the WR's gain a few spots for me.

  4. Yet another dead on prediction! I'm sure the haters will say "you were lucky" but if there are any real football fans out there, you know that money (and the moneyline) talks and bullsh@t walks! :P

props due. very good call mate. :D

Thanks. At least there are a few real men out there that can admit when they are wrong!

considering I never stated I was right or you were wrong I don't think that's possible. But if it makes you feel better then by all means go for it.

I never saw this thread until today and thought it was a good call. Nothing more, nothing less.

  6. I'm starting to think that it was wrong for me to post a "start player" question here.It has done nothing but spawn a bunch of losers wasting space crying about people posting "starter questions" Whats worst, people wasting space asking questions or the people wasting space b1tching about it??????

    Get over youselves people!

you're both pretty big tools. it's like comparing a sack of crap to 70 year old snatch that hasn't been washed in 12 years. you're both unpleasant to the nose.

  7. gotta believe that main guys will be burleson and robinson...followed by taylor.

i least i hope so: with holt out this week i was forced to pick up robinson and plug him in...there weren't any better options on the wire.

More like Burleson and Williamson. IMHO

more like nobody and maybe MeMo. atleast in a RBBC you pretty much know your RB will most likely get 15 touches. a WRBC you never know wth you're gonna get. One week Burleson might get you 8 receptions for 100 and a touch. The next week he will get you 2 for 25 and no sniff of the zone. I'd be pretty p'd off if I wasted a roster space on Burleson for the last month. His value will be pretty close to nil in this scheme.

  8. You guys are close - 8 team league. It is much more competitive than the 12-14 team leagues where you have to choose from snot rag and douche bag from the waiver wires.

Playing a bunch of studs week in and week out is more competitive then actually having to draft well and snag sleepers from the WW before anyone else does? That makes perfect sense!

I wish I played in a league where players like Horn got dropped and I didn't know if I wanted to pick them up because my WR's were Owens, CJ, and S. Moss. Unfortunately I play in league that doesn't have any 12 year olds or handicapped so I'm stuck with Djax on the bench with Andre Johnson, Michael Clayton, and Deion Branch as my WR's. I'm probably gonna have to drop Jurevicious this week to pick up the only playable WW prospect Az Zahir if Andre doesn't play.

You gotta love when people make these post and always get a response like, I wish I played in a 4 team league. haha.. If you wish that, sign up. haha..

I started playing in 8 team leagues but more to get me the knowledge of how to play. There isn't as much trading going on, no strategy, no WW needed. It got old real quick! But to each there own.

I was being sarcastic chief. Not the sharpest tool in the shed are you?

  10. yeah i'm giving westbrook. i'm in a non ppr league and i have LT, Lamont and SJax. worth a gamble at this point

I traded my westbrook and rod smith for another owners horn and dunn last week. I was pretty deep at RB so I basiclly traded my #3 RB for another #3 RB (of a bit lesser value) for what I feel is a big updrage at WR once Horn returns.

  11. I'd be interested if it was hosted somewhere else besides Sportsline. We used CBS last year to host our basketball league and reading the box score updates was like watching a word orgy.

yah yahoo is lame but they keep everything so simplistic. i dont need a bunch of crazy graphs and pretty colors. just give me a clean easy to use interface i can manage my players with.

  12. I dropped Burleson to pick up M. Barber for this week. We only start 2 WR's and I have R. Moss, T. Holt, and R. Smith already with only 13 roster (4 bench) spots so I doubt Burleson will even get picked up. If he does I'll just grab Coles, Johnson, WIlliams, or any of the other mid tier WR's all over our 10 team WW. That's the good and bad thing about small rosters with 2wr/2rb/FLEX leagues. WR's are dime a dozen expect for the big 5 or 6 (SMith, Moss, CJ, Holt, Owens, etc) so everyone just hoards RB's and lets the mid tier WR's sit on the wire. Makes throwing in filler WR's to pad trades harder but with the value of RB's so high you can trade off RB's for top tier WR's very easily (I traded my Cadi for R. Moss straight up after week 2)

  13. DEF Tampa Bay!

week 14 is a bit rough (Indy) for those of you in 3 week playoff formats but week 15 (San Fran) and week 16 (Houston) are moneyyyyyy.

I was thinking along these lines as well, but the team that came to mind with that schedule is Jacksonville, not Tampa Bay.

D/ST Jacksonville should be a playoff week target for everyone if you can get past the first round of your playoffs (week 14 for most) without them.

Seattle plays SF in week 14 and Tennessee plays Houston in week 14 so either of them could be a decent one week supplement to D/ST Jacksonville.

JAX D will be nice, but really Tenn.? as a fill in for week 14...not sure even though they are playing the pathetic Texans.

haha my bad. yah Jax D. had the opponents correct but the Def wrong. Only tough matchup's JAX has the remainder of the season is Indy. Other then them it's SF, CLE, HOU, SF, Balt, Zona, and a couple other scrubs.

  14. I grabbed him off waivers 4 weeks ago when someone in a geek league dropped him. I wasn't going to wait for someone else to pick him up and Brown getting injured isn't an "if" but a "when".

  15. right when you thought you had seen every tool in the shed "noneofyourbusiness" drops in and proves hybrid "super tools" are right around every corner.

    gs14 = noneofyourbusiness = ###### = uber tool? :unsure:

using applied sciences and standard probabilities to calculate the mathematical equation I was able to prove your theory "gs14 = noneofyourbusiness = ###### = uber tool" to be 100% correct. well done professor, well done

  16. I'm debating between Barber and Foster this week as a bye week replacement. I think I will wait until before game time to decide...if I hear for sure Jones will not play I will plug in Barber.

JJ isn't going to play. It doesn't make any sense for him to play. He has a high ankle sprain. If he sits this week it gives him the chance to heal for two more weeks to be ready for the playoff run. They are playing the Cardinals too, in Dallas. Barber is a good start.

Completely unrelated to this thread but thanks for the Jax D tip. Was able to pick them up in 2 of my 4 leagues. That playoff schedule they have is NICE!

btw: drop babies not bombs... or was it drop bombs not babie...
