Predictions for Wk 8: Carries for Caddy and
avoiding injuries replied to cmh6476's topic in FFToday Board
I expect a pretty even split. But I also think it will be 20-20. -
We've been had.

Karma? I saw lots of jokes about FFToday during our hard times. And who is the "FFToday board is down again" poster over there?
-
A couple people who are thin at RB in my league have shown interest in him. I was already offered J Porter and M Williams for him.

I am a bit surprised to see a 12 year veteran driving an eleven year old Caprice. I guess he bought it with his first signing bonus.

Horn: If he practices Friday, is he a play?
avoiding injuries replied to spearfly's topic in FFToday Board
I think you'll know more Sunday morning, but right now it's risk vs. reward. I personally am not going to play him. I'm starting M Robinson, J Porter and D Gabriel over him in 3 seperate leagues. I would go Hakim then Lelie/Horn. I saw Hakim was banged up as well. Don't own him so didn't pay much attention. -
I posted in this thread earlier today and I sh!t you not, ten minutes later I got a call from my SO saying she had been in an accident.

Horn: If he practices Friday, is he a play?
avoiding injuries replied to spearfly's topic in FFToday Board
If he plays, he won't be at 100%. He won't be able to give it 100% and won't be able to play in as many plays as usual. Do not expect the Horn of old this Sunday. I suspect he could make a good WR#3(especially with byes and other injuries). -
And Moss would not be the same with Ramsey behind center(or Pennington/Bollinger/Older Man). I guess I will be the first person to nominate a defensive player in Freeney. Like it was said earlier, the Colts are depending on the defense to win. He anchors that defense.

I have him on all three of my teams. He will not be starting in any of them. Trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice, shame on me. It happened once this year and it happened to me last year with Moss. Hamstrings are a vitale muscle for WR's due to spriniting. I hope he has a huge game so I can get him off my bench, but I don't trust it yet.

I can see the point of view where Alex is coming from. Carswell was injured in a five car accident and people are upset that he(Alex) is not showing enough sympathy. On the other hand, no one has mentioned the people in the other 4 cars. hope everyone comes out ok

New Orleans is favored by 2 over Miami. Over/under is 40.5. So, I'm thinking it's gonna be NO 20, MIA 17. Gus could throw for one TD but I'm thinking Ronnie Brown will get the other, maybe both. Detroit is favored by 3 over Chicago. Over/under is 32.5. Detroit 17, Chicago 14 would be my guess. Meaning, Garcia could throw for 2 TDs this week, unless one comes from their special teams/defense. K. Jones won't run one in as Chicago's D has not allowed a rushing TD all year. With all that being said, I like Garcia over Frerotte. Tampa is favored by 11 over San Fran. Over/under is 36. Tampa 28, San Fran 14 Simms could have a nice game, possibly good yardage and a couple TDs. Some of Tampa's points, you would think, will come from their defense though. If Caddy is a scratch, Simms it is. Pittman is a good receiving back and will act as a safety valve for Simms. If Caddy plays, I think I would still go Simms.

At this point... a) players not on the injury report . . . . b ) players on teams fighting for the playoffs studs are a given
-
I would look at the line and go with the QB who is playing in the game with the highest over/under. You could even calculate in the spread to find out how many points their team is predicted to score. Let me know what you come up with...

Waiver requests I put in for this week... T Fisher- denied A Hakim- denied M Barber- granted (very happy with this, but needed a WR) A Chatman- denied

Bitter sweet. I need him to produce since I'm floating just below .500 but would rather a healthy Holt for the rest of the year as opposed to a 75% Holt starting a week earlier. Rest up Holt, but please come back like the WR of old.

The Good Players I drafted higher then ADP: Palmer, Caddy, Driver, Gates(despite his 1st game suspension) Players I avoided: Culpepper, Deuce, Green, Martin The Bad Drafted: M Clayton, B Stokley, K Jones, M Jones Avoided: S Smith, S Moss, Dillon, Barber, TO(still think he went too high but I thought contract situation would keep him off the field)

Is GB @ Cinci the fantasy boom of week 8?
avoiding injuries replied to football_scooter's topic in FFToday Board
I suppose I have a "good" problem trying to decide between Favre and Palmer... -
Wishful thinking. I'm pulling for him, but he'll be on my bench until he does ANYTHING.
-
Last news I heard was that he was taking it easy during the bye week. I've found that no news is good news. or at least better then bad news

R Brown had 8 ruatt compared to Ricky's 6. Take it for what it's worth.
