The problem there is that the teams rarely ever put a 'players first' mentality into play, so I'm not sure why that sacrifice should be expected from the players. Teams will cut anyone they think they don't need or don't want to pay. In this case, he made his money and went to a team that had a shot at it, and I can't blame him.

Not all fans thought it was great nor do all fans think it was worth it. While I can understand why the move appealed to Jerry's gambling nature, PacMan should have been gone after his suspension mid year. I can understand trying it (and hoping something positive would come from it or that PacMan would play the way he was touted to when drafted) but it was never a 'great' move and good riddance at this point.

Not only that but I'm pretty sure Quinn is super popular with fans and I don't think this would go over very well. I'd be very surprised if this ever came to fruition.

The QB is definitely the problem here (or most of it, I guess the QBs aren't at fault for the drops) but Quinn is here to stay and without some serious improvement Edwards value goes way down IMO. Not saying Quinn won't improve but he seemed to be very fond of the short throws last night and I don't know how much of the playbook they will open up for him, at least for a few games.

Yeah, he's apparently not gonna do much. Did not see a 15 yd game coming from him. I'm super disappointed.

I'd go with Edwards; I'm starting him tonight even with Quinn. Don't think Denver's pass def is that good. Any thoughts on mine? link

I'd stick with Wayne myself; like others said even against PITT he and Manning will be a real threat.

I've been starting Cutler but I'm not sure if he's a better play against Cleveland than Ryan against NO. Any thoughts?

Fair enough point about the time, although I'm not concerned with how late he stays out so much as I'm concerned with the trouble he gets into. He's still causing issues when he's supposedly on his best behavior and I don't believe this team has enough leadership in its coaching staff and players to combat that. I don't live in Dallas BTW.

That's pretty much the damn truth and it becomes more and more evident each week of the season. I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan and I'll root for them no matter what, but there's no way we're going anywhere with this group of guys. We might have talent comparable to our SB seasons but there is no Jimmie Johnson to kick ass and keep people focused and on point. We don't have any players that seem to want to step up and stand up. Jerry built this team around talent only and I really believe he thinks that's enough. Adam, Pacman, whatever his name is now, needs at least a one game suspension from the team. Being out at 1:30AM drinking when he's got to report at 7:30 is tenuous but combining that with fights should be totally unacceptable.

Where does Slaton fit in here? Is he the real deal for the rest of the season? I would add Reggie Bush on my list of top RBs due to the number of receptions he gets (not to mention the returns, which isn't nearly as consistant but does add another dimension).

Just makes him look like an idiot to be retired for what 3 months? He looks like a drama queen with all this nonsense and if he does come back, he better have an ace season. If he's just a little off people will be on him saying 'he should have stayed retired'. Oh wait. It's Favre...they'll be so busy kissing his @ss they won't even notice how he plays.

If that's true, it takes my respect for him down even further. What kind of whiny baby wants to leave after one year because "it's no fun, it's too much pressure", etc? Not someone I'd ever want trying to lead my team to a Super Bowl.

I've heard the same thing. If it's just forfeiting a fifth rounder, that's not much of a deterrent is it?
