Anyone else gone through a parent losing the end of life

I took care of my mom and dad for 10 months, and another 4 years of just my mom after dad past at 93. Mom was 97. Dad was over prescribed a water pill. It put him in the ICU for low sodium. When he came out of the ICU, he lost his Electrical Engineer intellect and it was very sad. When Bell Helicopter would get behind in designing the Huey, he would bring the electrical drawings home and work on them. It is a tad complex, and the drawings were the size of the Huey (flat), 1"=1". He also was one of two engineers that traveled with the helmet. They had to have a set of eyes on it at all times to insure it would not be stolen. The pilot wore it while in the Apache gun ship. This was the helmet that aimed the Gatling gun and fired when the pilot closed one eye. Mom did well for a longtime. She ate Quaker Instant oats for years and I think that is what got her. She had a metastasized mass in her colon. It had Glyphosate in it and a lot of gut cancer got blamed on it. She was ready to go and asked a couple of doctors to do her in (of coarse they did not). It was a little tuff to hear that since I had dedicated myself to keeping her alive. Quaker had promised to get rid of the chemical by 2025. I don't know if they did. I threw out a case of it when she pasted.

    Hey Weepaws!

I saw an interview with a doctor that studies near death experiences. The only people who see "the" lake of fire are christians. Easy escape is not to be one. Some of you know I pasted in 2019. If there is any judgement on the other side, I did not experience it. I got my choice to stay or come back.
  4. I follow science and don't care what Biden or Trump have to say about vaccines. I believe Dr. Fauci, was the most peered reviewed Doctor. If he passes the scrutiny of people that actually understand medicine I am good with it. Everyone else's opinions and stories about what he did wrong don't mean shiot to me. I got covid twice after having the vaccine and, it was no big deal, other that having to have my groceries delivered.
  5. I have done a couple of fatties and the real difficulty is keeping your balance on top so far off the bed.

One Degree of Separation between me & Jerry Jones

    Thank you so much, brother.
  7. Jerry Jones was treated and cured of melanoma by a clinical trial drug. The doctor that monitored him was Dr. Daniel Wang at UT Southwestern cancer center. He is the same doctor that goes over my CT's and blood panels. I am out of the trial now, but they continue to test me every 3 months to see that my Squamish Carcinoma has not returned. I have decided that this may be the most craptastic (look at me!) thread ever posted here. I guess I don't care. That is all.

    Cost Plus Pharmacy

Gentle Readers, I go to a local cost plus pharmacy, Forest Park Pharmacy that is able to sell many pharmaceuticals. They do not accept insurance which cuts out the Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM). As an example the cancer medication Imatinib (generic Gleevec) cost $7 to the pharmacy. They add $10, so it is $17 out the door. When Medicare pays for the drug, it cost them $2400. The drug was filled 250,000 times in one year, for a total of $600 million. The insurance companies pay a middle man (the PBM) who decides how much that medication cost. The PBM gets a percentage, so the more he increases the cost, the more he makes. If all 250,000 perceptions were filled at Forest Park Pharmacy, the cost would have been $4 million. CVS was going to charge me $309 for a med. I got it there for $42. Here is the link :https://www.forestparkpharmacy.com There is a price checker for medications on their site. They are on Tik-Tok. I plagiarized one of the the owner's Tik-Tok vids to give you guys this info. I was just hoping a few of you might be able to save some money with this knowledge. Peace.

One Degree of Separation between me & Jerry Jones

It went to the skull at my right temple and down my neck. Doctor called me and said it got into my lymph and nervous system. This was a day after surgery and that is all they knew. Knowing that the lymph and nervous system goes pretty much everywhere, I figured I was done. This had a very calming effect on me, as soon as I got off the phone for some reason. Turned out it was confined to my right head and neck.

Why Life May Not Be As Abundant As We Think

I saw a vid on a meteorite formed very early in the history of the universe. It contained all 8 essential amino acids to create life.

My heart walks a desert of despair knowing I have offended and saddened such a jewel of kindness and brotherhood. The undisputed bored leader since Rusty Syringes. A man who once nominated me for a board Heart Award. Please accept my humblest apology for my thoughtless oversight.

    Im 58..straight..and comfortable saying this...

If you can sing so well that Queen taps you to fill in for Freddie at a HUGE world event, I don't care about your sexuality, kind of like I didn't spend a lot of time worrying about Mr. Mercury's.

Good stuff President Trump has done

That's great, but he did it by turning the country into sh*thole, not securing the border.
  18. I was a registered republican in Cali for a long time. I voted for Regan. I will not vote Republican again, but I sure wish I had a better party to vote for than the Dems.

    Favorite Bass player

Jaco is rightfully regarded as number one by many. Larry Graham for the slap. Entwistle for playing bass and being the best soloist in the group. Victor Wooten is incredible. I guess I will go with Les Claypool. The first time I heard Primus I could not believe it. It was "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver".

Not everybody on the block knows that. I remember the studio producers raving about it in the studio. He would be a high pick for me for his vocals as well.

    Cryptocurrency

When I got into crypto, I bought like I did in the NYSE. Mostly US stocks. So, I got HBAR, ALGO, and ADA. They pumped soon after I bought them and I sold all of it and got my initial steak into Bitcoin. I also scarified 100% of my AERO and ONDO. I rebought ONDO recently and it is up. Most resent purchase is SEI. I avoid XRP. I am not one of those that says it will go to $10,000 a coin. I think a lot of the people who say XRP will be huge are just looking for exit liquidity by suckering others into buying it. Ripple co-founder Chris Larson transferred 50 million XRP (about $175 mil) to addresses in 4 centralized cryptocurrancy exchanges. He has a -ton more XRP. Maybe he is just taking profits like everyone should.

Actually, yes. Smartwool 35 bucks, with Smartwool Orvis socks, about 40 bucks. I just visited a doctor's office, so I dressed up.
