Bullseye and crosshairs I agree aren't a big deal. The steady drumbeat of trump is a threat to democracy is a problem. It's not true and the endless repetition of that thought is going to incite the crazies.
-
There's still 100 days to the election. Trump doesn't have this thing locked up by a long shot. The Dems problem for this election in my perspective is that I think there is going to be low voter turnout since he's just not inspiring a lot of faith. So it's not about switching votes. It's about getting the people who are going to vote for you to go out and vote. Kamala won't be exciting. There's too much bias against women. They can't switch up to someone new because Biden unless Biden plays ball, or else the in fighting this late will be too big of a drag on the chances of whomever it may be.
-
But I think the real truth is that you guys really don't care. For some reason you think you need to pretend you care. Probably social norms I guess.
-
It's a one-off. It's not like candidates would be dropping like flies. And these candidates both suck anyway. It's not like we'd be losing out. By the way, they don't give a shìt about you. Why do we need to care about them?
-
These guys are a dime a dozen. If trump went down, you just put desantis up there. If Biden goes down, put up Kamala or Gavin. Who cares? If Biden's debate performance taught us anything, it's that we don't really need a functional person in that role. That's why I never understood why people are always so keen on defending their team's guy. Just put a monkey in there with a blue or red suit. It's all the same. Now if the point is that shooting a presidential candidate undermines democracy or something... I guess. It's not like that's a systemic problem.

He said that if Taiwan wants defense that they need to pay for it and that they stole all of the chip manufacturing. So the likely implementation of that policy is they onshore some of that chip manufacturing.

Can someone explain why people feel the need to insist they are sad about this when they clearly don't care? I don't care. I couldn't care less beyond that it's an interesting story, but I don't give two shìts about an attempt on Trump's life. Now that's not to say I hope he died or anything. I simply don't care if he died or almost died or that some crazy took a shot at him. Take gutterboy. He clearly doesn't care either, but he insists on saying it's sad and tragic, and then in the next breath mocks a bandage. That's clearly not the act of someone who's sad. You guys are so programmed.
-
You know I am, but what are you? Is that you Rusty?
-
Gutterboy triggered over the size of the bandage trump chose after his attempted assassination. IS it still tragic gutterboy that someone tried to kill him or is that overshadowed by his choice in bandage now?
-
Trump stole my idea. Now everyone is going to hate it.
-
People who are suggesting that whether the bullet itself nicked him or if it was shrapnel is relevant to this situation is saying to me that those people don't really care that someone tried to kill him and are more concerned with minimizing it. Not that I don't already know people aren't actually sad over this or really think it's so very tragic. It's just what people like to say while waiting for Amazon prime day.
-
This is so bizarre We need to see medical reports to know if the bullet really nicked you because we want to minimize the attempt on your life. I guess it's not so tragic anymore. It was so, so sad there for a few hours.
-
How would he even know if it was a bullet that nicked him?
-
By the way, it was clear from the get go he wasn't seriously wounded. But there was danger, and he did react the way he reacted which by the way I don't think makes him some hero, but I'll give him credit for not panicking and having the wherewithal to take the opportunity to pose for a photo. I suppose Biden would've shooed away secret service and started directing emergency response.
-
So if he only got hit with shrapnel, or if he wasn't wounded enough, his actions should be perceived differently? What a weird take.
-
I still don't see the point. People who hate Trump will just the medical report is false if it doesn't say what they want.. whatever that may be. Is anyone credible proposing wild theories? If not who cares? You could say the sky is blue and 20% of people will disagree. Shoot, there are plenty of people out there that think the earth is flat. You don't cater to the least common denominator.
-
So what if they are?
-
I don't get why people need to here from his doctors and need to see reports so bad. Is the point to provide ammunition that it was a setup? That it's no big deal because the bullets didn't do enough damage? I suppose the point is so people can say it was only shrapnel and it's only a scratch so Trump is a actually a bìtch and he should've finished his speech while the medics cleaned up the dead guy behind him or something.
-
You need attention this bad? I said potentially, you baby.
-
I take it back. He obviously loved Trump
-
My understanding is that he had some attitude problems to start his career which kept him in the Shanny dog house. My concern is that if he ends up staying in SF and is unhappy, will he allow his attitude to become a problem?

China has them. -
The righties: the left's rhetoric is causing people to want to murder trump. The lefties: the guy was a republican, therefore it is not rhetoric that caused him to want to murder trump. And the right uses rhetoric too.

What they don't get is mean tweets from Trump end there. There is no media echoing it over and over and over. Biden says trump is a dictator and he's going to lock up gays and is a threat to democracy, and the dem media arm dutifully redistributes that message 24/7.
