The weird protocol is a stroke of genius... which is probably why the programming took so well. By making ourselves the arbitrators of what is weird, strange, unnatural we imply that we are normal which is a narrative that we would like to be adopted, and if we keep saying it, even in this backward way, people may start to internalize it like branding. I guess the Jamaican piece opens the door to have a piece of African descent, but having dark skin doesn't mean you've descended from Africa. I mean if we just need trace amounts of African heritage, everyone can claim they are African American.

She's not of African decent, but the point of her claiming blackness is that in America it gives you the right to claim being a victim of systemic racism. From that standpoint, she is black. Due to the color of her skin, she would've been subjected to the same systemic racism that defines so many black American lives, and thus makes her worthy of receiving black American's votes. Now is she going to actually do anything for black Americans? Of course not.

The issue I see with the Chargers in general is that if Harbaugh gets his way, he'll only throw the ball 18 times a game. give Herbert a 70% completion percentage and that's what? 13 completions a game?
