I feel like Trevor Lawrence is getting too much of a pass
nobody replied to nobody's topic in FFToday Board
It is fine if football isn't everything to him, but to be great he needs to be obsessed or someone who is obsessed will come along and beat him. Tom Brady dedicated his entire life to football, and that's why he became the goat. You have to have everything. Physical makeup, talent, quick/smart decision making, leadership, hard work... He doesn't have the quick/smart decision making so he needs to make up for it by working harder than the qbs who do. -
Meh, typical selfish, mildly abusive parental units for both dad and step dad that I'm sure most people had. Happy Father's Day!

Turned on NFL live for the first time in a year in a half or so. MHJ bulking up came up. Of course, the pundits predicted big things for him because God forbid we call a JAG a JAG. But then they end with... He had 880 yards receiving last year. Only Brian Thomas had more as a rookie. I'm all like, "why y'all lying?" Nabers? Bowers? Ladd? And before that Kevin Clark said he's only one of 6 rookie wide receivers who had 880 yards and 8 tds in the last 10 years. Like yeah, bro, they forced him some tds, conveniently, Ladd, Thomas and Nabers all had 7. I clocked what you did... Tacking on the notorious high variance td stat to make him look better than he was. Turned that shìt right off.

I raised my objections to my employer and tried to contribute to social media grass roots campaigns to reverse mandates. Unfortunately, on social media, guys like you would come in and argue some semantic point acting as a shield preventing the necessary ground swell. If you all had just shut the f up, it might've gotten traction. Instead we had to wait until they started targeting kids to get the critical mass necessary for them to back off. It's funny. Anytime someone posts anything criticizing the jabs, you come running in to defend them... crap on a study, argue about the nuance of a point, but these mandates you were supposedly against, you weren't badgering people with your BS.... "Well actually, it's a violation civil liberties to force a medical procedure, and it isn't proven young healthy people need it..blah, blah, blah," you were somehow able to shut the f up then, but good lord, let someone say something criticizing the jab. Here comes tim and he's got all day to pick nits defending it.
-
Can't blame Kyler for missing Harrison the few times he's open. Kyler probably just got used to getting him off him early as a read since he's such a JAG. Kyler out there like, "yep, dude blanketed as usual. Where's Dortch? He's always open."
-
Who is Travis? Travis Hunter? Oh wait. You're talking Kelce. That's a love for the ages.
-
You've been wrong. The macro point here is young healthy people never needed it and shouldn't have been forced to take it. You'll probably say you agree and never supported mandates, right? Well then you should've sat down and shut up instead of distracting from the message that mandates were complete BS. You're a stooge being used by the government as a shield because when people tried to fight mandates and army of people like you came in and spent 5 words saying mandates were wrong and 5000 words defending the jab. You can't see the forest for the trees. No one would've cared about the jab of they didn't try to force people to do it who didn't need it. And you helped them whether you think that or not.

Harvard & Trump Thread: Harvard PREVAILS in its lawsuit against the Trump administration
nobody replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Another win-win. China wants them? Okay. Take them. Going to be pretty funny when they try to start protesting at U of Beijing though. -
Same wokies want to take away guns with the argument that it wouldn't be effective in a situation where you'd have to fight the government. They don't even realized they themselves are the biggest threat. They allowed themselves to be weaponized by the government and they don't even know it.
-
But tim has some semantic argument to distract so it's all good.

So the guy that can't separate added weight probably making him even less quick out of breaks. Awesome.

I feel like Trevor Lawrence is getting too much of a pass
nobody replied to nobody's topic in FFToday Board
One of the many problems with Lawrence is he wants to be great but doesn't understand what that means. I used to see it all the time when I played basketball. There's a certain type of player that just can't make an easy play. They are so desperate to be great, they try to force some awesome play. Think Jason Williams (white chocolate not the duke guy or the power forward). These are the types that see a player cutting through the lane for a wide open elbow jumper but don't throw the pass because they want to try and break down the defender off the dribble and thread the needle for some dude cutting to the basket resulting in a turnover 85% of the time but the same two points they would've gotten on the jumper on some awesome pass 15% of the time. What these guys don't realize is that greatness is just consistently making the easy play 95% of the time and having the ability to make the great play when it's necessary to do so. Think Tom Brady. Lawrence doesn't consistently make the easy play and it kills them. He also holds the ball way too long. -
And they'll tell you they were against mandates of course. All the while they were part of the army that acted as a shield for them on social media platforms while they abused policy. And we told them in real time it was messed up. All these wokies had a chance to be on the right side of history for once and chose to shrug while the government tried to trample us. Typical pieces of ****

Tet Height: 6'5" Weight: 214 Tall long strider with decent top end speed and strong hands and suspect acceleration. Very good at snatching the ball at the air and good (not great) at contested catches. He's not going to be special in the NFL, though. He's closer to Laquon Treadwell than Tee Higgins who I hear him getting compared to. Route running isn't great. He's decent at comeback routes, but other than that he's not creating enough separation. He has nothing redeeming in his ability to get deep. And I've heard people say he has explosion off the line, but I couldn't disagree with that more. In fact, I find his release and get-off to be rather sluggish. He actually reminds me of a stronger Marvin Harrison JR in that he gets open by overpowering smaller DBs or finding soft spots in zones. That doesn't translate to the NFL just like it didn't for MHJ. Most receiver scouts are bad, so if you hear them saying he's explosive or talking about how he's such a great athlete with elite agility for his size, just know it's not showing up in his play.

Dynasty Alert: Tet McMillan isn't going to be that good

Tet did check the box though. If you're overrated, you should also be overrated in shorts. Milestone unlocked. -

Indeed. Small speedy guys have a big advantage in flag football camp. Pads are when it counts. I'm just passing along the massive hype. I mean tet is still going to be a JAG. Just not because he got outshone by a sixth round slot guy. -

The twitter algos have me. Jimmy Horn getting hyped. And the 1940s quality video almost has me convinced he's the next tyreek. -
Dude must've been super sloppy/pissed off a lot of people. This stuff happens all the time.

Great. Now my supply chain people are going to really screw me. Jackàsses already try to make us competitively bid $10k purchases. To be clear for those not in this world, a competitive bid costs $100k and a minimum of 8 weeks to get multiple quotes.

https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/18/panthers-tetairoa-mcmillan-rob-moore-rookie-minicamp/83711908007/ I was curious what the feedback on Tet was during mini camp. Not promising. He got the ole, "he's a hard worker" before the coach acknowledged he can't separate. Goes back to my perspective on Coach speak in minicamps where any criticism of a player should perk up your ears since this is the time of year everyone is amazing according to reports. I talked about it last year with reports on Pearsall just so you know I'm not just making up this view now to fit my narrative. -

Well shouldn't superstar Tet be getting praise against other rookies and walk-ons? I certainly wouldn't expect him to be outshone by a 6th rounder or whatever Horn was. -

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers-rookie-minicamp-wide-receiver-jimmy-horn-jr-stands-out/ar-AA1EUlp2 And so it begins. Louis Riddick says Jimmy Horn the best receiver in Panthers mini camp "by far" -
Media hates him because of his politics. This time they won't make the same mistake they did with his last MVP and advertise their bias incurring backlash. They'll be smart enough to make up some BS before sinking him

Stock Market bubble - will burst - it did, and recovered twice. ***Official thread***

Agreed. The markets are going to be go down every time homeboy brings up tariffs, and go back up when he backs off. Unless you're in his inner circle, why would you try to time Trump's whims. I guess you can rely on is this: 1. Trump is an egomaniac, so he'll want his poll numbers up. A variable that feeds that is market performance, so you can count on Trump caving wants the crying about tariffs gets loud enough. 2. No matter what Trump does via EOs in regards to tariffs, it'll get immediately undone by the next president regardless of what side wins, so in the long run the market will be up. Any opportunity to profit off volatility relies on whether Trump wakes up with a hardon for tariffs one day. The only way to make money is being able to predict his whims.
